Why would he cut a 250 million dollar check to save an upstart league that was already going under after 2 weeks? It doesn't seem like a very wise investment.

Bc he probably knows how to make money with it when those other two idiots don’t.

jesus, what a cluster .... missing payroll after 1 week? what the hell? did they only have initial funding to pay for the players uniforms and then they were out of money?

This guy obviously needs to take over the finances of this league because nobody knew wtf they were doing.

He can't be too bright since he bought an NHL team that plays their home games in my backyard that can't compete.

Most new enterprises are undercapitalized from the beginning, but damn near missed the 1st week payroll? Didn't these guys have a TV contract? Some really bad bean counters they have...or maybe they don't have any bean counters and that was the problem.

Players need to go door to door selling cookies to raise money for the league.

Didn’t somebody say this league offered big contacts to people like Kaep and Tebow?

Normal funding issue. It wasn’t going under

Yep, new businesses are always tough at the start but not being able to make week 2 payroll indicates these guys have no idea what they're doing.

I'll go out on a limb and say this league will not make it to season 2.
