I found a few shots of the Ram Laramie Longhorn in Car and Driver. Looks awesome. I like the front grill. Look at that interior! Lusting for it. No idea when it will be available for sale.

Standard is the 6.4-liter V-8 with 410 horsepower and 429 lb-ft with a six-speed automatic. The more powerful setup is a 6.7 liter Cummins diesel six-cylinder that delivers 930 lb-ft of torque through a six-speed automatic.

I like the new rams. Much better than that brick I was driving 15 years ago

Nice looking truck, a real workhorse (if you want it to be) for sure.

I still have my 2007 Ram 2500, I still work it hard and it still runs strong. I looked into buying a 2 or 3 year old Ram 1500 with more luxurious appointments insides, but decided on a pretty spiffy 2016 Silverado LTZ instead because the used Rams are holding their value a bit more than the Chevy pick ups in this part of the country and it would have cost me quite a bit more to go that route.

I am also tired of feeding that damn Hemi and I didn't want another. The 5.3 in the Silverado gets 19+ mpg on the highway at 80mph. The 5.7 Hemi in my old work truck gets 12 :L

Went and looked at rams the other day out of boredom. I really like them. I was skeptical at first but After test driving a 1500 Rebel, I got USAA to knock 10K off the dealers sticker. Told them to hold off until Memorial Day weekend. Plus I have 5K left on my wife’s Jeep Rubicon. Going to pay it off next month.

Tempted to start stripping the mods off my car and selling them and buy the truck.

The silverados are really nice. A little overpriced but not as bad as the fords. If you’re going to pay that much might as well get good value. Ford has gone downhill in the truck dept the last couple of years. A co worker of mine recently bought a raptor. I was really disappointed in it. The last generation of raptor and F150 were a lot nicer. I didn’t want to tell him but he overpaid by about 25K imo.

I sat in one with an interior like that at the dealership last Fall. It had a full panaramic roof, too. Sidestep things that hide underneath when you close the door, etc etc. It was soooo nice. Plus, with the small electric motors, it's has way more torque and start speed than the Ford, and gets better mileage.

I think for the first time Dodge has stepped ahead. The Fords still look boxy to me and the ride is still too floatie.

I come from a long line of MOPAR men. My first truck was an 87 Dodge Ram(4 years older than me) 4x4 4 speed(technically 5, but 1st was basically just a granny gear) with a 440 big block. Gas was 4 dollars a gallon at the time, I so I didn't keep it long as a 16 year old.

Wanted to buy a new Dodge(they'll always be Dodges to me) for my first new vehicle, but I got a deal I just couldn't refuse for an F-150. It's a damn good truck with the ecoboost, but trading it in for a new Dodge is always in the back of my mind.

Those are some nice look trucks but I’m a sedan guy. Can’t do the 2 mile to gallon macho look.

Yeah, Dodge has caught up to and maybe surpassed Ford in certain areas especially in their interiors. Here's a couple of 2019 Ram Limited pics:

Hope you don't ever have to have that Dodge serviced.

But you will because it's a Fiat.

You had me concerned but Fiat has nothing to do with the RAM trucks. Most are built in Saltillo Truck Assembly, Saltillo, Mexico.

The plant manufactures the full range of the Ram truck series as well as the DX Chassis cab and ProMaster van. The plant has won numerous awards and has been recognized as the Chrysler groups best truck facility in terms of build quality.

I looked a couple more trucks. I still like the rebel. It has more creature-comforts which add to the price. It would almost be cheaper to buy a longhorn with an off-road package. Still get the 1 inch lift and off road tires. Doesn’t have the billistien shocks and struts but unless you do a lot of heavy off road you wouldn’t notice. Of the three I looked at really close:

1. Ram Rebel. Everything someone need in an off road pickup for someone who rarely ever goes off road. The ditch doesn’t count as off-road...

2. Takoma TRD Pro. Really surprised me. It’s a lot nicer than I thought. Doesn’t have all the bells and whistles that the other “Big 3” have but much more bang for your buck.

3. Ford Raptor. Overpriced. I’m not a big fan of the ecoboost in the raptor. The last generation was a lot nicer imo.

Ok. F150 is taking the lead. Having my dealer work in a quote for a F150 XLT 4x4 with Roush Supercharger.

Sweet truck but overkill for me. I’m on the highway a good bit and off road in Arkansas once in awhile. F150 king ranch is all I need

I've had Lincolns and Fords since 1989 and their service sucks. They've fucked me plenty on parts n sech. Could Dodge actually be worse? Doubt it...maybe, but doubt it.
