Why dont they give the choice of possession to the team that has the best record? This would be a reward for working hard and winning games.

I think this is something the NFL can buy into. It will give them more time to run commercials, they can get corporations to advertise on the HHH game board...No, that's stupid.
There should be something more entertaining and a test of skill. Like they cart out a Hungry Hungry Hippos board that has SIX hippos (instead of the usual 4) and your 3 best Hungry Hungry Hippos guys square off against the opposing team. Winner of that gets to choose.
If it's a tie in marbles then the team winner of a 2 man sack race from the 20 yard line to the endzone gets to choose. "What if they tie that?!" some idiot will ask. PFFT, we have instant replay!
Ratings should skyrocket during these events which will only appease the NFL and in an effort to cut down run time across the board we can remove the Super Bowl half time show. Done and done.

I was thinking wheel barrow races. But I wasn't going to put that out in this forum.

These men all attended at least 3 years of college. Maybe a game of trival pursuit. That would extend overtime to at least an hour before someone quits.
Now that's actually interesting. I kinda like it, actually. Would make the coin toss have more interesting choices.Use the coin flip from the beginning of the game. You elected to defer? Well, now you are deferring in OT as well. Choices have consequences.
