He did produce in the clutch.
Agreed. That's why I said not taking anything away from his leadership ability.
The stat line isn't as impressive as some are making it out to be.
Teams usually lose when they lose the T/O battle. Philly should feel very fortunate.

Why is everyone (Philly fans) making it sound like Foles had some great game? I'm not taking anything away from his ability to lead his team to victory. Lucky for him Parkey shanked another one. Now I'm hearing it may have been tipped? Did the tip keep it from going further outside? Or was it enough to change the trajectory just enough? If so that dude desreves the game MVP.
Foles line:
25/40 for 266
2 TDs 2 INTs
QBR 76
RTG 77
Because he did his job.
He was asked to drive down & score a touchdown (not just get in FG range) against one of the best defenses this year.
& then he did.
You cant take that away from him because the eagles defense let the bears get back in scoring range even quicker. He is a gamer.
Dont get caught up in the stats. Get caught up in the game!

Granted he had that one game winning drive.
If not for the missed/blocked FG those two INTs loom LARGE. I can't help they're a stat.

Sounds like you just want to diminish what Foles did.

Well I guess you have that QB with great stats (still not score much) then throw an INT or fail on that final drive in the clutch. But at least you can point out he had nice stats. I know as a Patriot fan, you havent had to choose one or the other, but trust me. if you had to choose. Always take the clutch guy over the masserti stats! (if you have to choose one or the other)

I'm simply pointing out those two INTs almost doomed them. Especially the one in the EZ that he should've never thrown.

I'm one of the first people here that down plays stats. I don't know what else to call them?

I agree. It wasnt his best game by no means.
but when things arent going right & you still find away. That is what makes Qbs dangerous.
Sure it is easy to see a QB when everything is rolling well.
Russell Wilson dont always have good stats, but what scares me is QBs that are Clutch. If you are within one score late in the 4th qtr, there are certain Qbs you just know, no matter how bad they played that game, you are about to be in trouble.
Aaron Rodgers
Tom Brady
Russell Wilson
& others
When you think a QB is having a bad game & you are scared of that QB late in the 4th anyways, he might just be a Clutch QB (a Gamer)
