Don't even get me started...Crazy how you guys have no respect for the older players, lolzzz
Fairy tale/ That's you believing all the Bullshit that talk shows spew that only kids born after 1990 new how to play sports. Truth is, modern players are more athletic, but they are also as soft as a baby's tushBaylor was a 6'5 SF who dominated the boards, which was a respectable sized piece of his greatness. In your modern fairytale version is he also picking up an additional 4 or 5 inches of height so that can continue to be the case? Or in addition to all of the other assumptions you are making, are you also switching him over to SG and altering his entire skillset to fit the modern game?

Nah just my own take on Baylor specifically. Lots of older players that I like and feel would translate nicely.Fairy tale/ That's you believing all the Bullshit that talk shows spew that only kids born after 1990 new how to play sports. Would still be elite defensively - great finisher on break. I think his athleticism translates but his offensive skillset otherwise would be an issue. His %'s sucked. I see him as a slightly larger / higher IQ / better passing and finishing Dennis Rodman type that could guard the 4 or 5. He just isn't giving you ANY stretchability if you try to stick him at the 4, and he isn't an ideal 5 today. Against his own era? Like Baylor...a savantBill Russell?

Pretty strong statement...not sure I'd go that far, but he certainly wouldht have the same impact he did then. That's why I have a tough time drafting him in our drafts. You really have to put the right pieces around him to make it work out - so my thought process usually comes back to "with the capital it requires to draft him, why not just draft someone that you don't have to hide offensively?"Bill Russell would be lucky to be a one time all star in today's game.
