Perhaps FBS teams playing FCS teams is now the norm (or I was wrong)

Probably makes the most sense to seperate the power 5 and non power 5 at this point. Power 5 are given no legitimate opportunity to make the playoffs unless they overload their non-conference schedule. Seeing how far in advance you have to do this is damn hard to do. A split will not happen due to money, but until a conference or the NCAA makes a rule against FCS teams playing against FBS teams the trend will continue.

More people went to this year's Clemson/Furman game than went to the Clemson/Georgia Southern game a few weeks later.

Only because Furman was the opener. If they were reversed on the schedule you'd have a different result.

Even worse when the person crying doesn't realize the history of it and thinks all a sudden everyone is playing them.

The teams he listed are actually the ones that recently stopped playing them, and most of them only did so because their conference passed a rule against it.

USC and Notre Dame are the only 2 teams I know of that haven't been playing them consistently. Not that it means anything.
USC, Notre Dame and UCLA are the only remaining FBS teams to have "NEVER" scheduled an FCS team. And they have done so with pride.

Doubtful. Furman is 40 minutes away from Clemson and have a ton of their alumni in the upstate of South Carolina.

Most of the time our in-state FCS opponent travels about as well as our ACC opponents, and SC State travels better than everybody not named FSU, GT, or VT.

I think we will see a lot more FCS, over G6 games. With the payouts getting so large, most schools will not want to pay, for what most look at as a guaranteed winner.

Shut the fuck up already. This argument/bitch is old. Like a worn out piece of salmon. No one wants to fuck with it anymore. You don't like it? Turn the fucking channel. The argument that there are G5's to play instead of FCS is horse shit. There are FCS teams that would beat the brakes off of some of these shit G5's. Ridiculous fucking argument. I really don't understand it.
"Give the fans their money's worth!" Fuck that! The Citadel game or the Coastal Carolina game are the only games I can really afford to take the entire family. Not only that, but it's not elbows and assholes and there are not as many drunk assholes roaming around tackling chairs and tents either. Take this weak ass shit up the road. This horse has been dead for 10 years or so. Get over it.

:L
LOL, if this shit is getting old, why in the fuck are you commenting?

Even with that, you are only talking a difference of 200 people.

What conference?

The B1G backed off their stance and made it ok to schedule them as long it is one of the years you don’t have 5 home conference games. It’s just frowned upon, like masterbating on an airplane.

Well THAT explains all of those interesting looks I got over the years!
