Report: Suns owner Robert Sarver threatens to move team from Phoenix

So basically if the city doesn't shell out 150 million in renovation in which the current mayor is outspoken in that they do not want to support that money, the Suns owner maybe looking into moving the team. PLEASE make this happen I want the NBA back in Seattle we have an NHL team now an NBA team would be amazing.

I would love to see the Suns move to Seattle - I think that would be a nice move - then I'd love to see the Clippers move to Phoenix - and spread the teams out instead of two teams in Los Angeles and none in Seattle

Um, why not keep it simple and move the Clippers to Seattle, where I hear Steve Ballmer has some ties to the community.

Btw- these reports were completely shot down by Suns President Jason Rowley, they are committed to PHX and will reach an agreement to keep them there until 2037.

I am for any move that takes the Clippers out of Los Angeles - but I don't really care for the Phoenix Suns - so they could move to Russia and I wouldn't care

Eh, Ballmer isn’t welcomed in Seattle by those who control votes.

And hell no Seattle taking another team from a city who’s fans support basketball. Sonics fans supported basketball as much as any fan base could when Bennett made it damn near impossible to for a hardcore fan to even care about the Sonics.

Hey when the sonics moved the only owners that voted against it was Dallas and Portland I don't feel bad.

It was easy to see why Portland voted against it and Mark Cuban didn't want a team in his back yard stealing his tickets sales. Seattle didn't want to pony up for a new stadium either and not sure they would now. If the Suns did move there they would have to change their name to the Clouds or something.

Well clay Bennett had 2 years remaining on the lease when he decided to take it to court to break the lease and move the team to Oklahoma so there wouldn't be any possible agreements to keep the team there.

Well today there are renovations being made which will be done in 2021 which is why we landed an expansion NHL team so a move here wouldn't be a bad idea.

lastly apart of the deal to move the sonics to Oklahoma is that our history and name is still in seattle which is why they had to create a new name and why soonersonic wasn't used and all the banners in the arena including the gary payton retirement jersey in which he refused to attend his ceremony are all fake
