UGA is a very good team. Were all things equal, they definitely would've been in. However, the reality is they had an ugly loss AND lost their CCG. One or the other is forgivable but two failures was enough for the CFP committee to vote them out. Being placed 5th ahead of the B1G champ speaks volumes.

I, and many OU fans, will be hoping they kick TX's ass(unlike SEC cousin love).

Well. A playoff is, by definition, an elimination event where
the team left standing is the winner.

Now, the CFB world eliminated UCF based on the fact that they
hadn't played a Top Ten team. I guess that's ok. UGA played
2 top ten teams and lost to both of them. Logically, we already
know that UGA doesn't belong in the final group. They proved
it on the field.

Playing multiple teams from the Top 10 is admirable, but if you
want to get any credit for it...you have to beat some of them.
