Winning In Spite Of Alex Smith

I think its fair that everyone is close to 100% agreement on this or at least should be.

Its just a damn shame that this is by far the best defense this team has had in the last 15 years or so.

If Swearinger doesnt get All Pro recognition or D Payne at least 1 DROY vote the anti Redskins (probably team name) media bias will once again rear its ugly head.

The health compared to last year is better and the schedule is much softer.

Most of the biggest anti Alex Smith critics even recognized that this is the best roster the skins have had in a long time minus the QB. I myself predicted 10-6 or 9-7. My gripe is that is where the skins peak with Alex Smith at QB with no SB aspirations even if they are technically invited to the party.

With that said I think everyone at this point can agree that the skins would be a better team with:

A) Cousins, Fuller, and that 3rd round pick

or

B) Bridgewater (who is better than Alex Smith), Fuller and that 3rd round pick.

Would the Skins be SB contenders this year with option A or B?

Personally, I think theyd be a year away, though I think with Cousins or Bridgewater they could win a playoff game or maybe 2. They would still need to add depth to Oline, add a receiver or 2, and get Guice back to be a real perennial SB contender but at least QB wouldnt be a question mark.

Agree, but I can’t say this team would be much better with kc, that game reminded me of a team with kc at qb, great looking offense but picks at the wrong time or sack fumbles. I’m not the only one with this opinion. In the end a combination of kc and smith would be awesome
