Big time QB's usually have career bad days against Pelini defenses.

Gabbert, Freeman, McCoy, Locker, Jones all have had nightmare games vs Nebraska.

And Jones. The nightmare 5 INT game in 2009.

Last year was no nightmare as he got revenge and won the BIG Xii CCG.

I think Jake Locker threw more interceptions than Wilson will.

And I think Wilson is a better, more instinctive scrambler than Freeman.

And I think he throws better on the run than everybody on that list, with the possible exception of McCoy.

His only downside is his size, and that is really not as big of a deal in college as it is in the NFL, because the college game, even against a defense like Nebraska's, just isn't as fast. Wilson will be able to roll out and make plays, even against the mighty Huskers.

But the ground game will hurt Pelini's vaunted defense first.

Wilson has done nothing to prove he is better than Freeman and Jones.

Freeman is a starting QB in the NFL and Jones has a BCS win and 2-0 bowl record with 22 career wins.

I also think Wilson is leaps and bounds ahead of where most of those QBs were in terms of understanding a pro-style offense and utilizing multiple weapons, as college QBs.

Again, with the possible exception of McCoy. I don't even think Locker and Freeman were as intelligent on the field.
