They like the "underdog" role. And the U.S. is still confused.
2018.....17.5 to 10.5

Classiest moment was when both captains hugged the opposing players in the Casey/Koepka match. Bjorne had a lot of words for Brooks while they embraced.
Casey and Furyk walked off the green with their arms around each other.
Good moment.
Yep...Congrats European Ryder Cup Team!!
The USA got thoroughly flogged!
For a while it looked like we were going to see several American flags on Sunday, but they started to falter.
The course, the course setup and the greens put the Euros in a huge advantage...I didn't realize the US guys had never played this track and it's been in the Euro rota since '91 hosting the French Open.
Justin Thomas, DJ, Kopeka, Finau, Bubba, all bombers off the tee....they neutralized that advantage easily.
I want to see analysis on total putt distance made between the teams. Sure the Euros were in the fairway more often, but the US team couldn't buy a putt trough most of the weekend.
simply put.........driving accuracy......putting
The U.S. has plenty of excuses.......... but Furyk could have picked different players as Captain's picks, instead of Mickelson and Woods
And there are some courses, on the PGA tour, that are tight driving courses.
U.S. players did have practice rounds, on the French course.
Michelson was a mistake. There is no way in the world, he could have not picked Tiger.
