Randy Gregory - DL - Cowboys
Jerry Jones expects DE Randy Gregory (concussion) to play Week 3 against the Seahawks.

Gregory sat out Sunday night's game because of the head injury, but he has already been cleared to practice. Barring any setbacks -- or long-rumored suspensions -- he should be ready to play in Seattle.

Xavier Woods - DB - Cowboys
Jerry Jones said SS Xavier Woods (hamstring) could return this week.

Dallas' defense has played well the first two weeks even with Woods sidelined by a hamstring injury, but getting him back would be a boost. Jones also expects DE Randy Gregory (concussion) to return this week.

Sounds like they will get a few back next week too. The CB, Wagner, and KJ wright. Not sure about Baldwin.

If you watched the whole game- it looked like Seattle was really bad. Something changed though when it went to the 4rth quarter. Yes the Bears probably stopped with the agressiveness just like we did vs the Giants, but it was different. It was like Russell Wilson figured something out. Now he was running for his life but he was making plays. The Bears didn’t seem to get to him much in the second half either.
Our defense is kind of similar to the Bears even though they play a hybrid 3-4. Tank is good, but he isn’t Mack. Their CBs are similar to ours as well , not quite as big.

I like the Cowboys chances. Seattle is no longer an elite team and that OL is a sieve. Jaylon can spy Wilson the entire game, because Wilson is going to be running for his life

Just really like what Richard has done with the secondary. Awuzie is coming on and yeah Byron is a much better corner than ssfety. It is too bad we lack good safeties

It's gonna be interesting to see how we play Russell Wilson. Richard has to know his game as well as anyone from his time with Seattle. That said, it's also gonna be like playing against Seattle's defense to RW. Our DB's held up against the Giant's receivers, which are far superior to the Seahawks. Seattle's biggest weapons are Wilson's mobility, home field and a solid defense. We need to bring the heat to RW.

The Seahawks offense is putrid. Wilson is carrying the whole thing and can only do so much. But yet, the hawks are favored in this one.

I guess they could win 6-3?

Sure will be nice to send the Seahawks to 0-3. Even better when the Seahawks brass come to the realization this season was over before it started, and they could have had an extra second round pick. Instead they chose to be stubborn and will very possibly lose Thomas for nothing at the end of the season.

Meanwhile I am excited to see Woods back at FS.

I guess Sean Lee is saying last week was more about cramping than a hamstring injury. Which with as much cramping as we seen the 1st 2 weeks in the NFL. Makes me feel a little better, because as soon as he has a real hamstring issue. It will be season long.

here's to hoping it truly was just cramping.

I'm not so sure about that. I can get passed the DNP on Wednesday and using the hamstring as an excuse to just give him a veterans day off, but he was listed as a limited practice on Thursday too. The first week showed us he needs some snaps to get back to being Sean Lee so I think if he were 100% he'd have been a full go on Thursday. I feel more comfortable than ever with us being able to get by without him if he gets injured, BUT when right he is still just to damn good to see miss time so every time I see a tweak of some sort with him my stomach drops.

Xavier Woods still limited in practice Thursday. Maybe he isn't back this week??? I'd love to at least see him get some time in the nickel

Yup just saw that too

Earl Thomas - DB - Seahawks
Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said Earl Thomas may not play in Week 3 against Dallas.

"We’ll see how he’s doing, make sure he’s okay. He’s got some other stuff going on," Carroll told reporters at Friday's media session. Thomas was held out of practice for personal reasons. This doesn't look to be trade related despite Seattle playing the Cowboys this week. We'll pass updates on Thomas when more is known on his status.

Maybe Earl Thomas is saying why would I help beat a team I am going to try & make the playoffs with at seasons end?

Maybe an agreement that he plays for neither team and then they trade him after the game????:noidea:

Or even better, he plays for Seattle in the first half and they trade him at halftime and then he plays for Dallas in the 2nd half!!!

I like this idea. Maybe "Accidentally" two or three times in the first half, then atone for his errors in the 2nd half.
