I eventually went with the Cornbelt Gamecocks.

They used to have some kind of insane home non-conference win streak, something like 80 games or something. Nowadays Troy State beats them in Lincoln.

They also used to be in a good conference, where the level of play made them better.

For the record Arkansas is a Kansas State type program now and has a very low ceiling.

We recruit much better than Kansas State, but then again we recruit better than a lot of teams that we aren't as good as

Are you referring to Nebraska as the Cornbelt Gamecocks?? And the Big 12 raised their level of play and made them better? Ok. The Big 12 North was a real juggernaut.

I feel for you. The biggest issue for Arkansas is that the state just doesn't have that big of a population and once you joined the SEC it made recruiting in Texas that much harder.
