@Across The Field Michigan at #11? They have two wins over two teams with zero FBS wins, and looked worse against ND than both Vandy and Ball State.
Who goes ahead of them? The only team I have ranked behind them who I realistically think could be better than them is Oklahoma State.

Washington has literally never beaten a quality team OOC under Petersen.
TCU could maybe, but they were fortunate the game Saturday was as close as it was.
Va Tech, because why? They beat a shitty FSU team?
Stanford, the current biggest fraud in the top 10?
I guess maybe Mississippi State, but they've beaten two FCS teams and a horrible K-State team

Michigan has beaten a quality team OOC with Harbaugh?

They beat the hell out of a top 20 ranked Florida his first year. As sad as it is, that's more than Petersen has done at Washington.

Wasn’t that the Florida team without their starting (roided out) QB that was their entire offense?

I don't think he even played half the season that year. They were a 10 win team. Not world-beaters, but still quality, and the fightin Harbaughs beat them way worse than anyone else, including national champ Bama.

Well for starters Oklahoma State and Stanford are the obvious ones. Stanford actually has something of a quality win beating San Diego State by 3 TD's who turned around and beat a ranked ASU team. It's hard to look past how shitty they looked against ND. Michigan probably shouldn't be ranked til they play and beat Wisconsin. Also Miss St hasn't played two FCS teams.

Oklahoma State is the only one that I'd agree with you on.

Until they prove otherwise, Stanford is a sham. SDSU also needed a late 4th quarter rally to beat Sacramento State. That's a horseshit win and you know it.

I just don't see how LSU is not #1. They beat 2 teams that will probably still be in the Top 25. Auburn will for sure. They will probably be Top 15. Yes, Alabama outscored their opponents by 40+, but who is putting Louisville, Arkansas State, and Ole Miss on their poll this week? Most people are putting Miami and everyone has put Auburn.

IMO, LSU has the best start to the season.

Bama is going to roll everyone on their schedule and it won't be close.

Because most people rightfully think Bama beats them by two scores.

Miami was vastly overrated. The auburn win was huge and should get more credit.

Offense still looks shaky though. If you’re only looking at resume (???) then yeah they could be #1

Because they're not the best team in the nation. It's simply too early to be that drastic.

But a lot of people have Miami in their Top 25 this week. I haven't done the spreadsheet yet, but they are being voted high enough where I see them still in Top 25. What other team has beaten 2 teams that will be "currently" ranked?

My friend, if you can prove me wrong, I'm all ears.

If we’re considering past years for some reason, my argument would be that while Petersen’s teams haven’t got it done in any big out of conference games (compared to Harbaugh’s one, kind of), they have at least taken care of their shit enough to get in the playoff once, and a (former) BCS bowl.

Stanford is a sham, but Michigan has proven to be good? What? Lol.
