Marquis Tuiasosopo, Mark Brunell, Billy Joe Hobert ... those were mobile QB's who didn't freak out under pressure.
Never mention Billy Joe Hobert. Hope he's rotting in some gutter trash.

Stop feeding AG. He's a total idiot. There isn't a single person up here that has said Browning is a world beater. Not one. He is throwing out a strawman because he's got a major boner over a kid that went 7 for 7 at the end of a blow out win against an FCS team as though THAT was real football and proof the kid can play. Most are rational enough to understand the difference between saying let's hold off on giving a kid Pac12 honors who's entire career is against one FCS opponent in garbage time, and actually saying something good about Browning.
I expect the coaches to put out whoever gives them the best chance to win. They clearly don't like Haener over Browning. If they ever do we will hope for the best. That's all anyone has said. Again, AG is just being a douche.
Who doesn't like the added dimension? I'm simply saying you play with the kid that gives you the best chance to win. Period. Maybe Haener is better. Maybe. The coaching staff work with these kids every day and see them going up against that defense. They know who can ball. THEY clearly don't like Haener more than Browning. If they ever decide to go with him, I'll support him just like any UW QB.Marquis Tuiasosopo, Mark Brunell, Billy Joe Hobert ... those were mobile QB's who didn't freak out under pressure.
Browning can make some great passes then follow it up with some head scratches. He has to get better for any shot at the pac 12 title game.
He just needs to figure out how to cut out the head scratchers. All he has to do to do that is take a fucking sack. Should be pretty easy, apparently it's not though.
Well the point that there are more issues on that side of the ball than Browning's boneheaded plays is for sure true. Wildcat inside the 10?With Browning, the thing is this. He's really good at what he does, and that's not everything. Fans are unreasonable and think because by 2018 a few freaks that can work absolute wizard magic at the position have come alone anyone who can't should be benched for the next guy. If you work down the list of what might be holding the offense back, Browning is way down the list.
lol at UCLA getting stomped by Fresno State.
Totally agree the stupid mistakes have become way too frequent. That goes with the good at what he does which isn't everything remark. He knows what his game is, apparently it's easier to say "i'm trying to do too much" than actually not fuck up when it happens. Not making excuses for him... But I'm sure as fuck not gonna call for his job because I see his upside every game.Well the point that there are more issues on that side of the ball than Browning's boneheaded plays is for sure true. BUT he keeps doing really dumb things and you just can't accept that from a 4th year starter. He literally has more experience at QB than any in program history. You can't throw that ball from a jump pass with guys in your face. You can't do that as a freshman, and you REALLY can't do that as a 4th year senior.
He does make great plays and is a part of many great drives, but he's not up to the level you need to be a playoff worthy team. I simply don't know that Haener gives them a better chance at this point. And the issues with dumb play calling likely mean no matter who you put back there you aren't really playoff caliber.
Brunell did plenty of running the ball when he was at Washington. Brock Huard was a perfect example of a QB with a rocket arm but couldn't move outside the pocket. Difference between Brock and Jake Browning is Brock didn't freak out and make super dumb ass mistakes time and again when he was under pressure. The OL is a mess, Pettis and Ross are gone and Browning still freaks the fvck out when he's pressured. The guy makes horrible mistakes at times that aren't going to cut at the next level.Who doesn't like the added dimension? However, I'll also remind you they had Moon, Pickett, Chandler, Brunell, and a few other less than mobile QB's they found a way to win with.
I'm not one to toot my own horn (I'd never leave the house if I could), but I called that one.The better game to watch right now though is ASU/SDS. Herm not getting it done so far against the aztecs.
No one ever suggested Browning will play at the next level and that has nothing to do with who gives you the best chance to win RIGHT NOW at UW.Brunell did plenty of running the ball when he was at Washington. I see the Huskies winning every game up to the Stanford game. It will be just like last year, beat Stanford and you will win the North. He just needs to figure out how to cut out the head scratchers.
