No I just went with first firearms etc and then wizard. I did buy the update and am playing it again. Harder then I remember! :) A great environment.

Hey Pats, since you seem to like the old style RPG's, check out Deadfire.

Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire

First one was good, especially considering it was crowdsourced. Second one worked out a number of the bugs. Got pretty high praise ratings wise.

Haha. I played the first one. Not bad. A good recreation of the Balders Gate type RPG's but a little wordy with a lot of reading.

Whoa. Nudity and sexual themes?? I'm shocked and stunned.

I'll check it out.

I picked up NBA2K18 for $20 and this is easily the worst 2K game I've ever played. The added difficulty of scoring isn't the worst thing in the world but getting benched up 15 and coming back 5 minutes later down 15 fairly regularly is garbage. Either you're going on runs cold as ice or once you get put on the bench it has already been predetermined you were going to lose.

I'd be mad if I paid full price.

Playing Prey.

I love a game that makes me feel like an OP badass until it decides to send a Moonshark and two floaty psychic things at me like its no big deal and then they lock the gates until I clear out the enemies. I like the little touches in the game and the level design but I usually stop playing after about an hour or so due to a lack of motivation to push forward.

I've played a few games lately. Friday the 13th is fun with all the different ways to kill the counselors. South Park: Fractured but Whole wasn't bad but didn't think it's worth going out of your way for. Madden 19 is a game where I didn't really play the game as much as I played as the owner. It took me a while to figure out a lot of the stuff but it definitely makes me yearn for NCAA Football to come back.

Just finished up a play-through of Phantom Doctrine

Publishing + Investments for Games | Good Shepherd Entertainment

Decent enough game. Some replayability since you can play the US-centric side, or the USSR-centric side. I 'unlocked' a mission that sounds like a 3rd runthrough as a Nazi-hunter.

It's a 3/4 top down isometric strategy turn based game, like X-COM. Modify weapons with silencers, stealth takedowns, getting past guards and alarms.

I think I only paid $45 for it, definitely worth that much if you like x-com style games.

I'm playing Dragon Quest XI. Reminds me of a better version of Final Fantasy 12.

I'll probably pick up Spider-man on Black Friday because you just know Sony is going to rub that exclusive in everyone's face

Strange Brigade. It's actually a really good game and one of the best this year. It's kind of like the movie The Mummy meshed with Uncharted; you're finding treasure, solving puzzles, fighting zombies/skeletons/mythical creatures, and exploring.

This game actually looks really good. I've always liked third person shooters and it has a bit of a Resident Evil 5/Gears vibe to it.

1) Is it worth playing single player?
2) How is the gunplay? There is one critic review on metacritic that gave the game a 30/100 which is crazy low because they didn't like the gunplay.

I kinda feel bad for every game that isn't Spider-Man, Red Dead Redemption 2 or Call of Duty releasing this fall because those three are going to block out pretty much every other game.

Bugged I can't get it on xbox one. Looks fun. Really enjoyed the Batman games and it seems similar to those.
It is pretty similar. Decent missions, cool Easter eggs, and music. Maybe most important - it's fun just to swing around the city.

I only have one system and have really wanted to play some xBox games. Just can't justify paying for another system for a handful of games.

I think it's more enjoyable with a squad but it is fun solo too. I've only used the rifle and the guns you get temporarily out of a box for some coin. The only gripe I have about the gun play so far is that close enemies are pretty tough to hit. Everything else about it seems to work fine. I don't know why someone would dock it so much for something that isn't broken at all.
