Wisconsin has not shown me they can be any better than any other season. They crushed New Mexico by doing the same thing they always do...wear them down with a big offensive line and keep running it at them. They had like 10 passing attempts and 60 rushing attempts. That simply won't win when they face an elite talent

A lot of that is a "why pass" mentality. Don't agree with it but there it is. Also, top 2 receivers suspended just before the start of the season leaves us with one experienced option. Running is just a high percentage play right now. I think you'll see more passing with Danny Davis back this week.

I am getting optimistic about Iowa's defense vs Wisconsin's offense. Iowa's offense vs Wisconsin's defense is another story.

I think this game comes down to if Iowa's defensive front can do good vs Wisconsin's OL.

Yep. Problem with that is you have these early season cupcakes to help Hornibrook get comfy with the receivers an just throwing the ball in general and they are not taking advantage. Confidence is key in college football.

That's the reason I don't agree with the strategy. When there is little doubt as to the outcome, just run a scripted 20-25 plays. Get some "live" practice in.

Before the season, I chalked Wisconsin to be a major blowout. Iowa replaced all their LBs and the DBs lost Joshua Jackson. But the defense did play well. Iowa State might not have the OL that Wisconsin does, but it isn't terrible. Montgomery is a beast of a RB and Kempf is a good QB. Iowa did hold them to 3 points. Iowa's defense didn't wear down at all.

Iowa is usually a well conditioned team. Iowa will not lose because they get worn down. Iowa will lose because Wisconsin is a better team. If Iowa has any shot at beating Wisconsin, the D front needs to play better than Wisconsin's OL. And that is if they want a shot. I am not expecting an upset, but I am not expecting a blowout either.

Bosa has most YFL on his sacks
Epenesa has a PD and forced 2 fumbles
Pace has 1 interception (he's a DB)
Jones has 6 more tackles than the others.

Not sure where these stats come from. Bosa has a TD on a recovered fumble and has recovered 2 fumbles.

I searched 2018 B1G stats and this was the 1st one that showed up as only B1G stats.

1. Wisconsin

8. Indiana
9. Minnesota
10. Northwestern
11. Illinois

14. Purdue

Neither Bucky or Buckeye has a quality win but both have looked dominant. PSU win over App State is going to be way less embarrassing as the year goes on ( I think App St wins 10 games ). Iowa has looked terrific on D and has wins over 2 likely bowl teams. Maryland is reverso Penn St as that win over Texas is going to look way less impressive as the year goes on. Sparty and Wolvy both look inconsistent but could get it together. Minnesota surprised with tgst win over Fresno as did NW with their loss to Duke. IU looks like typical 6-6 IU. Illinois , Nebraska, Rutgers and Purdue will all be lucky to crack 4 wins

My B1G Power Rankings after Week 2

1. Ohio State (2-0, 1-0) - LW 1 - The Buckeyes is the only B1G team to score 100 points in the first 2 weeks and have outscored their opponents by 95 points. Haskins is looking really good at QB.
2. Maryland (2-0) - LW 2 - The Terps still has a big win vs Texas and a 31 point victory over BGSU. Kasim Hill has looked strong so far this season.
3. Wisconsin (2-0) - LW 3 - Taylor's 253 rushing yards put him ahead of other RBs in the country. They have scored more points than anyone in the B1G West.
4. Iowa (2-0) - LW 5 - Even though Iowa hasn't scored a lot of points in 1st two weeks, they have allowed the fewest points in the B1G in the first two weeks.
6. Minnesota (2-0) - LW 8 - Fresno State was a good win for the Badgers. True Freshman Annexstad is looking really good as he is 4th in the B1G in passing yards.
5. Michigan (1-1) - LW 6 - Michigan lost by 7 to Notre Dame didn't cost them some but wasn't brutal. Beating Western Michigan by 46 didn't help them that much.
7. Penn State (2-0) - LW 12 - Penn State's overtime victory over Appalachian State hurt them after week 1. They raised 5 spots after dominating in-state rival Pittsburgh.
8. Indiana (2-0) - LW 10 - Stevie Scott is only behind Jonathan Taylor in rushing yards among the B1G running backs. This helped them get past Virginia as Indiana stays undefeated.
9. Nebraska (0-1) - LW NA - Nebraska looked good vs Colorado in stats, except for the score. They weren't in last week's rankings due to them not having a game.
10. Michigan State (1-1) - LW 11 - The Spartans needed a TD late in the 4th quarter to beat Utah State and lost by 3 at Arizona State.
11. Northwestern (1-1, 1-0) - LW 4 - The nerds of the B1G lost to the nerds of the ACC. They had a close victory over Purdue and did not look good vs Duke.
12. Illinois (2-0) - LW 13 - Illinois started the season on a two-game winning streak. This week, they beat Western Illinois by 20 points.
13. Rutgers (1-1, 0-1) - LW 9 - Rutgers dominated Texas State but was dominated by Ohio State. They beat a terrible mid-major and got beat by a great team.
14. Purdue (0-2, 0-1) - LW 7 - Losing to Northwestern in a close game is one thing. Follow it up by losing to Eastern Michigan and being the only 0-2 team in the B1G, that is not good.
