It was damaged earlier and got worse didn't it? Had he gotten surgery when it was first diagnosed he could have been back sometime next summer. Now it will be 2020 when he comes back.

He usually struggles more as the season winds down. I remember posting a link to a story early in the year that suggested he would struggle again later in the year as he has done the last few years.

Last year he allowed 21 earned runs in 25 innings during the month of September..
