This will make Annexstad only the second true freshman walk-on QB to start an opener for a P5 program, after Baker Mayfield at TTU
I went back and looked at their recruiting. Given I have no deep knowledge of if these guys are still on the team but in the last four classes they've recruited 4 or so QB recruits, all in the 3 star range. But still. It seems really bad that a true freshman walk on is your best option.Out of necessity or is he just better than the competition? If it's the latter, slap a scholly on the boy.

Also, I wouldn't exactly be excited about this as a Minnesota fan.
