let's get it started
Alexi may be done for the year! I don't think moving him to the bullpen is going to get him to full strength for the playoffs. Maybe he can pitch in relief after a week off so we can see what he's got.
I think he can still be effective for an inning. That's why we weed to pull him from the rotation now to see what he can do for the pen for the rest of the season.
Well he got out of the inning at least.
This will be Ogando's last start of the season. The guy is out of gas. 52 pitches through 2 innings is awful. This is an important game for Texas to win. Hopefully Wash has enough good arms to get through this game. I doubt Ogando pitches more than another inning or two, maybe less. But this is still a very winnable game against Carmona and an important game to win for Texas. Get him outta there Wash and let your expanded bullpen do the job tonight. Ogando has nothing left.
Anyone have any idea of the speed of his pitches? I'm wondering if it's his legs that are failing him and not his arm. It could be a conditioning issue that gets solved in the off season. I'm hoping it's a conditioning issue that can get solved!
speed doesn't seem to be the problem according to Maddux. it's location
I think that is a good sign that it isn't his arm. He's still got juice left in it. It's just the rest of his body is failing him!
