I read an article yesterday that said the nba should do what the WNBA does. And when it comes to the playoffs don’t have an east and a West. Just let the top 8 or 12 teams in the league in. Cause if the west or east has that much more talent we’d rather see a good 7 game series between the two best teams in the league even if it’s two teams in the West then have a team from the West who is easily more ready and has much more talent then a team from the east and we know who will win it from the get go

Call me crazy but I think the Sixers ate better off getting Chandler than Leonard. They'd have to part with 2 nice players in Saric and Covington plus a draft pick most likely.

Chandler is no Leonard but they didn't need to land a star after the season they had.

Part of the 76ers success was due to their buyout acquisitions in Illyasova and Bellinelli. Those guys are gone now. If you can get a top 3 NBA player on your roster, you do it.

Does anybody think with all these super teams in the league these a day is a bad thing for the league. Cause most times before the season starts you can pencil in who will be in the finals

The guy hit the nail on the head. They had finally reached a modicum of respectability when Mark Jackson became their coach. But for as long as I could remember, the Warriors were amongst the biggest joke of a franchise as I can recall. They've built this thing they have now from the ground up and deserve this.

I also like the subtle shots at Lebron and Westbrook though. That was funny.

It's been like that to a certain degree. For the most part, at the start of the season, you have 4 teams at most that can realistically win a title. There are years where the dark horse wins like 2004 and 2011. But other than that, this isn't out of the ordinary.

Well I think there should be more equality in the league so we don’t have constantly the same teams in the finals year after year

Well, that's not ever going to happen. This isn't football where you need team cohesiveness and where coaching absolutely matters along with managing of the salary cap. If you put talent on one team, it's more often than not, going to win. It's been like this since the 80's.

Even for a one year rental giving up significant assets?

I would have to believe it would not be significant assets if it is indeed a rental.
If they want to have the same discussion at the trade deadline, SAS loses leverage.
