Lmfao!!! I did a winter classic between the B's and Habs. 0-0 till the last minute. I got an even strength goal and two EN goals with Seguin. A hat trick in less than a minute.

Portal is quite awesome, actually. I want to play Portal 2 now that I've set up my new (and by new I mean less old than the previous) computer. I think it should be okay...

And back to NHL 12 talk, a few BaP bugs I've noticed:

Season stats in BaP mode are WILDLY inaccurate for your team for any power plays/penalty kills you don't personally take part in. I just finished my pro's first NHL season and since he isn't cool enough for power play time, the Flyers went 20 for 16 on the power play. I tell you, 125% is a fucking amazing conversion percentage. I should also point out that 16 is remarkably similar to the number of minor penalties I've taken, so I'm betting that's the issue right there.

There are certain moves that the AI falls victim to quite often. When skating up the forehand side, windmill gets past quite often. When on the the backhand side, a skate-to-stick works quite well. Basically any deke which moves towards the boards as opposed to the middle, and if you do them from the right spot the defenseman won't stop you unless the puck hits them in the skates or they have help.

The blue arrow that points towards your position is a filthy, dirty, liar. Or more accurately it's just bad at anticipating turnovers, so you will often perform better by being ahead of/behind where the game thinks you should be.

Goalies take way too many outside the trapezoid penalties when they play the puck in the trapezoid and in the course of turning with it move it out of the legal zone. When they do play it legally, they take a ton of delay of game calls from winging it over the glass.

And most frustratingly, boardplay is ridiculous. Your AI teammates almost always fail to assist a pinned teammate in the defensive zone, so if you aren't there to help, it's a turnover. Furthermove, they rarely assist YOU when pinned, so it's a turnover nearly always, which hurts your teamplay. Sorry I didn't back myself up there, guys. I'll try to assist me better next time. Assholes.

Thinking of buying NHL '12. Worth it?>

looking at clips on youtube, one MINOR thing that i don't like that catches my eye is....the ice does not get worn out throughout the game it appears? I think I remember older hockey games where near the end of each period the ice would get worn down.

I don't play any video games (except maybe hot shots golf) but it's cool as hell you can play online against friends in games.

It's true about the ice. Kind of a bummer there.

My buddies and I have a team that we play online. It's a pretty cool system allowing you to play as say the right wing, while your other buddies fill out the rest of the team. I can't think of too many things more addicting... or occasionally frustrating.
