Yup, M's gotta win at least 1. The M's have really struggled with Houston, well pretty much ever since they joined the division. If they really are gonna make a push toward the playoffs, they gotta start beating the Astros.

Seattle Mariners- .627 have the 3rd best record in the American League behind New York- .685 and Boston- .683. We're 1 of only 4 teams in the AL that is over the .600 level and 1 of only 5 teams in the MLB over the .600 level. Now that's saying something. It's been a long time coming since Seattle was able to say that in early June. Baring any injuries, June will be the month that determines this team's status in the AL. So far...looking good. Go M's and keep the motion going forward.

Must be because I've been a Mariners fan for awhile now but once I start seeing things like this I start to think here comes the slide. Hope I'm wrong.

A .500 record the rest of the way yields an 88-89 wins season. I believe this will still be good enough to maintain a close contention for the AL West lead. Definitely good enough for a WC spot. Granted they are obviously on pace to win more than this and this is taking into account that they don't totally collapse and not maintain a .500 record.

Yea we curbstomped the living shit out of the Indians and have a way better record than them, but according to ESPN are worse than them, thats some sound logic

This is crucial part. They did what good teams do, and have given themselves a nice cushion for the WC where they can afford a .500 or below (just not fall apart) with the gauntlet they have coming up.

Although Keuchel and McCullers have given us fits over the years, they are probably the two starters you would want to face on the Astros right now. Plus it seems like we do better against those two in Houston.

M’s just need to avoid a losing streak, it seems like every year all of a sudden they drop 8 in a row and find themselves falling fast... That’s why it’s great to have ace pitchers who can put an end to those streaks, so far they’ve avoided that, hope that keeps up ....
