BK drafted CJ.. the win is in the bag
:pound:That's funny.
Oh wait. I drafted CJ too! :tsk:

Just had a flashback moment.
The week I played Ram to advance in the "challenge" was the week they gave Amari Cooper the 1 game suspension for his altercation with Aqib Talib.
Just shows suicide peril takes many unexpected forms.

MILK VS FOOT

QB- Cam Newton and Patrick Mahomes vs Jimmy G and Patrick Mahomes- This is Cam Vs Jimmy J, both QBs have a receiving back as their number one back, and both QBs are very mobile... Of course Newton wins the mobile game, and Newton has the better receivers... But I think Jimmy G is the better passer... All in all, I guess you have to give the win to Cam Newton... and the upside definitely goes to Newton...
- Foot wins

RB- David Johnson, Jerrick Mckinnon, Tarik Cohen, Doug Martin and Tavon Austin vs Todd Gurley, Ronald Jones, Sony Michel and Chris Thompson. -
David Johnson is the upside king of fantasy... and Jerrick Mckinnon has the upside of a RB1... but foot has very little in depth... Todd Gurley was the safest RB of the elite, but I don't think he has the ceiling of DJ...

you have to give the win to FOOT

WR- Juju, Chris Hogan, Davonte Parker, John Ross VS Tyreek Hill, Doug Baldwin, Davante Parker, Corey Davis, Anthony Miller- This seems to be the biggest differential in the comparison.... Neither team has a great WR core, but Foot's is flat out bad... and he has no depth in case anyone gets injured...
BIG win for MILK

TE- Rob Gronkowski vs David Njoku- Clear win for FOOT... But I will say this, I like Njoku a lot this season...

D/ST- Rams vs Broncos- both defenses are very good, I personally have broncos ahead of Rams... so I give myself the win... -MILK

K- Chris Boswell Vs Will Lutz- this is a kicker... does anyone really know who is the better kicker?? Both the saints and Steelers are very similar teams... I would probably give the edge to Lutz but again who knows??

Summary

QB- Close win for Foot
RB- VERY CLOSE win for FOOT
WR- NOT CLOSE win for MILK
TE- NOT CLOSE win for FOOT
D/ST- Close BIAS win for MILK
K- CLOSE BIAS win for MILK

the keys to this matchup

1. Jerrick McKinnon- he didn't find much success in Minnesota as the premier back, and was never a great redzone back... This is not PPR so the importance of TDs are exaggerated, will this hurt him??

2. Jimmy Garropolo- He was the 2nd half darling last season... is he the real thing?? He doesn't have the best receivers around him, can he evolve??

3. Sony Michel and Ronald Jones- Rookies are Rookies... will either be worth their draft value?? especially Michel being a patriot and all- we know Patriot RBs are scary...

4. Cam Newton- His running ability can make him a top 5 QB easily... But he is one of the WORST throwing QBs in football, RBs have trouble lasting long, and Cam Newton is now 29... he has taken beatings the past couple seasons, can he be the elite Cam Newton again??

conclusion: On paper I have to give the win to Foot... But his WRs are very bad, and lacks depth... if he sees any injury at WR then it could really be the end to foot... and since this is football, and since this is suicide, we have to predict some injury somewhere.... so even though on paper Foot wins, I have full confidence that milk wins this matchup...

Bandit vs. Chef

QB's - Aaron Rodgers vs. Kirk Cousins and Case Keenum - So this one is pretty obvious, if Rodgers stays healthy I win, if he gets hurt I lose big time with no backup.

RB's - Lesean Mccoy, Sony Michel, Marlon Mack, Chris Thompson, Giovani Bernard vs. Leonard Fournette, Nick Chubb, D'Onta Foreman, Aaron Jones. Fournette will most likely have a better year than McCoy, but what scared me about Fournette is the two games he missed with a fractured vagina that he should have played in. Chef's team could possibly not have a 2nd running back that gets more than 8 carries a game, but then he could have great depth if Chubb can win the job, Foreman can come back from the injury and Jones wins the job. I definitely like my depth better here because even if Michel and Marlon Mack disappoint I love having Chris Thompson as a RB4 and Gio Bernard is one Joe Mixon injury away from getting all the touches in Cincy. This is how I break it down, RB1 (Chef), RB2 (push), RB3 (Bandit), RB4 (Bandit), RB5 (Bandit)

WR's - Antonio Brown, Jarvis Landry, Robert Woods, Pierre Garcon, Rishard Matthews vs. Michael Thomas, Adam Thielen, Chris Godwin, Courtland Sutton. Breakdown WR1 (Bandit), WR2 (Chef), WR3 (Bandit), WR4 (Bandit), WR5 (Bandit)

TE's - Travis Kelce vs. Travis Kelce and George Kittle. Advantage to Chef for nothing else but the bye week unless Kelce gets hurt then a bigger advantage, but no catastrophic since most tight ends average so few points a week anyway in non-ppr.

Defense and kicker - this one's easy as we both have the Patriots D and Stephen Gostkowski so we'll call it a push.

Overall I like my depth a lot better than Chef's, but that depth at running back and wide receiver came at a price since I don't have a backup for Rodgers and Kelce. Bottom line is that if Rodgers and Kelce don't get hurt I really like my chances. :)

I drafted him too, but I don't think Chris Thompson was a good pick in this format... He is a receiving back only, and you will never start him except for bye weeks or if an injury needs him to start... and if you do get an injury and need to start him for weeks then you are in trouble since he has no upside to be anything more than a receiving back... Sure, he did well last year in that role, but how much faith do you have in him to get you 10 points consistently?? if I had that pick over, I would have picked a different position and waited on a high upside RB like the Miami Rookie...

@SoShady vs TKO

QB: Wentz/Winston vs Brady
Two vs one. Wentz can be a beast but my Eagles can "diminish" his effect.

RB: Hunt, Cook, Kerryon and Clement vs Gordon, Henry, Royce Freeman, Lewis and Clement
I have the one-up here, but Hunt and Cook look like the better one-two punch. Which rookie helps more? Clement on both ends of the bench.

WR: Robinson, Demaryius, Martavis, Hogan and Ridley vs Julio, Goodwin, Agholor, Hurns and Golladay.
Upside lies with Julio, more "meat" on the middle three to Shady. Ridley vs Golladay in a reality WR3 showdown could be interesting.

TE: Engram vs Ertz
Two young studs head to head. I'll take the win with point grabbing from Wentz.

K: Elliott vs Tucker
kicker schmicker...I'll take Justin's leg over anyone.

DST: Ravens vs Saints
Reality, maybe Ravens. Fantasy, maybe Saints.

Looks like a good matchup. QB2 vs RB5 being the only difference.

Trudem vs @Barilko

QBs: Rivers and Trubisky vs Ryan and Eli

I think I would give him a slight edge but I think Rivers puts up great numbers this year and its close to a toss up but Ryan has better WRs.

RBs: Freeman, Collins, Miller and Powerll vs Collins, Chubb, Williams and Hyde

I think I win this one because of Freeman. Plus I don’t think Williams ends up the starter in GB.

WRs: Hopkins, Diggs, Marvin Jones, Funchess and Moncrief vs Hopkins, Green, Fitz, Davis and Ridley

I think this one is wide open. Diggs and Jones don’t have the name cache but they put up numbers. Bar wins this on paper.

TEs: Burton vs Walker

I will give Bar the win here but proven production

Defense: Houston vs Houston

I think I will this decisively with the Texans over the Texans lol

K: Zuerlein vs Bryant

Ill take Legatron!

All in all it could be a fun battle. WR decisions will loom large without the flex. I would be willing to bet I lose week 10 right now though.

I am looking for a tougher test this year. @TREFF didnt bring his A game last year :dhd:

You might see it that way, but when I'm drafting a RB4, all I'm looking for is somebody that is guaranteed touches and he will have that. Let's face it, in a 2RB league if I have to start my running back 4 on a consistent basis I'm screwed anyway. 10 points a week no, but are there any RB4's that can even come close to that? Hell there aren't many RB2's that come close to 10 points a week anymore. I'll take the guy with 10 touches a game over the upside (the most dangerous word in fantasy football) guy any day.

But those upside guys win these leagues for ya... But I guess it is all dependent on your team strengths... I guess, if my teams weakness is my RB2, then I am not looking to find gold, just looking to to have stability... And a player with a set role is pretty stable... so I guess I will change my mind slightly...

upside (the most dangerous word in fantasy football).
:dingdingding:
This ^^^^. Plus not many owners concern themselves with "the floor" since they're so stoked about "the celing." And some players have to get out of the cellar first just to hit their floor.

they'll also lose games when you keep banking on upside that never materislizes

This might be the understatement of the century. LOL.

No arguments here. Won my money league, finished in the money in all other money leagues, but everything MBBRL? Might as well let Brees1 run the teams

The X's are based on Fantasy Pros' rankings.
They weren't based on personal opinion.
I really think this is a toss up.
Could go either way.
It may depend on each individual matchup each week.

Dang @averagejoe

How hard was it to make that chart? If I had the computer skills I'd make on fer myself and jwalt but I don't. Hell, if I did have skill I'd make one fer everybody but again, I don't. I wish I knew somebody that had that kind of skill to make a chart like that fer me and maybe even everybody else. Unfortunately I do not know anybody with mad puter skills like that.

 since you are laying it on pretty thick I suppose I could put something together for you and jwolt. But I'm busy the next couple of evenings. Just FYI.

Still waiting for @Bandit to input our teams into FantasyPros so it can spit out our points projections. Maybe it's too early for that?

Yep - Fantasypro is dragging their feet this yr (perhaps upgrading?), some features are not available yet - that's one of them.
