Well they battled back. If Colby can't keep this thing under control then it's time to give him some rest I guess. When it's all said and done then Feldman just may be the third or fourth starter in a playoff rotation.

Koji will be fine. He has pitched well his last few games. Colby is trying to kill us though. Almost gave up another homer there.

Why doesn't Wash just sit Colby the rest of the way. This is his 4th straight bad start. He has no movement on his pitches. His velocity is down. He won't last 3 innings in a playoff game. He's just killing this team right now. He is our worst starter by far. You can almost pencil in 3 more losses the rest of the way due purely to Colby taking the mound.

Why would you sit him the rest of the way instead of giving him a start off? He was not the worst starter in the rotation until his last 4 starts. In fact he was easily the second best starter on this team for two months. Me thinks you have a thing against Colby.

Nothing personal against Colby. In fact, in the playoffs last year he was awesome. But Rangers are in a dogfight for the division. And sending Colby out there with nothing left is basically telling your team you better score 7-8 runs or its a loss. Right now, I'd rather have Feldman taking his starts. Even the 4th and 5th guys for the Angels would be an upgrade over Colby. I wish he'd get it back, but he looks spent.

There is no reason to pitch Martin in Arlington before he's ready. And he's not ready. This isn't 5 years ago when we had bad pitching, were out of the race, and just threw Ed Volquez out there. Although he's not pitching well Colby probably gives us the best shot to win. And it's the A's he's pitching against so it's a good chance to help him build some confidence against their AAA lineup.

My patience is almost gone with his current performance, but I think a break might be all he needs. Certainly did help Harrison and hopefully helps Ogando. I'd bet a missed start would get him back on track.

I don't think he loses his spot. Not if Harrison and Ogando haven't.
