Series Thread: ECF: Boston Celtics vs Cleveland Cavs

Yeah, I'm not throwing dirt on the Cavs until they lose at home.

All Boston did was hold serve.

But, this is the first series I was actually fearful that they WILL actually lose.

I'm sorry, I do believe I've been putting EVERYONE on notice about his lacking defense prior to the post season.
I was met with it's not needed as much this stage of his career. He's asked to do too much to have to play defense. Yada yada yada. Now people want him to defend???? Too funny.

This is not a knock on you. But I've noticed this since his first year back in Cleveland. It's why I laugh at people like Nick Wright that keeps bringing up Lebron's daily stat lines and says he's better than Jordan. MJ was still putting up great offensive numbers later in his career while still getting 1st team all NBA defense.

People need to actually watch the games and not just go by stats. Lebron was great and kept his team in the game. But one thing he never learned from Miami it seems is the success Miami had playing great team defense. Because in Cleveland, it just never seems like they put a heavy emphasis on that area.

But, they have the assets.

I found it odd that the Spurs were the team at the top of Kyrie's trade list.

So.....maybe Pop isn't as adverse if Kawhi wanted out?

It's still a series. And like you said, Boston did what they were supposed to do. Ball's in Cleveland's court.

Having said that, if Cleveland drops one home game, it's over.

But again, this is a team that's expected to win. If the Cavs are having this much difficulty against the Pacers whom are rebuilding, and a Celtics roster that although shows great promise, but is missing their two star players - what are you going to do against that team in Oakland? It may be a blessing if Lebron misses the Finals. Because oh lord the ass whooping that would commence.

Celtics took Lebron's best punch and still won the game. I Don't know how many 40 point games LeBron has in him anymore. Thats a big problem. He's no spring chicken. The Celtics just make adjustments to shut everyone else down.
