Everyone wanted profar to play more for the most part, but they wanted it to be at odors expense and not Elvis.

Not sure what you are talking about since this is the best Elvis has been playing in his career. Going on the DL will not diminish that. It is like saying Trout's stock is down because he went on the DL last year. It is just a shame that this happened.

Meh, his best season was last year. Rangers should have dealt him in the off-season so they could improve their weak as **** pitching staff. Now it's highly unlikely that he'll opt-out to test the waters, forcing the Rangers to fulfill that ridiculous salary.

To make sure you did not misunderstand me my statement of he is playing his best ball now meant last year and this year. In fact his BA/OBP/SLG/OPS are higher this year compared to last year. So I think he still has value.

There seems to be an assumption that b/c EA is playing terrific there is an automatic 'great' return on him if we traded him. I've yet to see any team(s) mentioned who would want him.

Granted, he's played lights out, and he's earned his contract for several years now. But I can't come up with a natural trading partner. Anyone?

When healthy, this could very well be his best season.

Some of the Rangers offseason decisions are questionable, but decidung to hang onto Elvis is not one of them.
