This would be a really good time for Profar to get hot and not go in a slump. I really feel we are better off going forward with him as our 2B, but he is going to have to make a believer out of his manager and GM. I think it would benefit the organization significantly if he wins them over.

Do you know if that was before last year or including. Just seems since the start of last season he has no clue what he is swinging at.

Last year his OPS was .833 but it looks like a small sample size, around 30 plate appearances, but he managed 3 HRs and 3 walks in those plate appearances but with a .207 batting average

in 2016 he had a .412/.444/.529 in just under 20 plate appearances and a .974 OPS (0 HRs & walks)

in 2015 it was 90+ plate appearances with 5 HRs and 2 walks, .337/.357/.630 (.988 OPS)

so in 3 years (2015 - 2017) .319/.351/.601 (.956) but 138 plate appearances he's also been solid in the 6 spot which I don't think is a terrible place for him

Thanks for the info and I would agree with you on the 6th spot. Good place as over 40% of his hits go for extra bases. His stats are really decent in 2015 and 2016. Don't know what happened starting with last season.
