the 2nd season was good, just not special... it had some great highs, but it was more of a noir than a superhero story... and cared more about the psychological than the action...

even the big bad, there wasn't really a satisfying big fight between JJ and the big bad... trying to be very vague so i dont need spoilers...

overall very good, but the action-less made it feel very long... not to mention the 13 episodes...

i thought the exploration of each character was very believable though...

Not saying you are wrong, there were cringe worthy moments. But what do you expect when the show is about strong women?? Them to be ok with the terminology men use to describe women??

JJ was solid. Many people will be disappointed because it's more a character study than an action piece. On that level it works really well. No strutting scene chewing baddies this time around (besides a bit of a cameo by someone from S1).

I thought the direction they took the friend (radio DJ) was a bit weird. Most of my criticisms would be on that. Some of the tension between the two would have been friendship killers if they were being realistic, especially with women who hold grudges men can't even imagine.
