Eagles can get under the cap rather easily cutting some of the older guys with overpriced contracts. Only place I'm worried about the team as far as the cap goes is LB... and only really because I wonder if Hicks can stay healthy for the year.

They were going to cut ties with Curry anyway, so bringing in somebody better to replace him for essentially zero extra cost is a bonus. Were they going to get somebody better than Bennett for 6M?

So they are very quick to claim the 550k that the WR cleared without addressing someone has to go back in that spot. Will that person make less than 550K? If they make more than $0 then this trade adds cap issues even more.

I don't get why not keep Curry then, save the fractional money, and cut somewhere else. They are still going to need to cut somewhere else now, so why swap Curry for Bennett? I don't see the gain.
