if we have to start virgil , which is what i said coach , then we are in the mid 20's on defense because he isnt very good and that means injuries and attrition have taken place .

now not to pint out anything but we were 21 with him on the field part time and if you watched those games in which he started our defense was awful

ok coach here are the numbers

vigil started 5 games

nyg 260 yrds rushing , 381 tot.
denver 159 yds rushing 330 tot
ariz 141 yds rushing 286 tot
LAC 174 yds rushing 488 tot .
dal 182 yds rushing 275 tot

the above totals figure out to be 1760 tot yds or 352 yds per game . those numbers would put our defense at 25th over all or lo and behold mid damn 20's

now we were already 32 nd vs the run however when zach played we gave up 916 rush yds or 183.2 yds per game . now our league worst numer was 134.1 yds per game or 49.1 yds per game better when vigil was off the field

so coach my statement that if we are playing zach vigil as a starting ilb we would be a mid 20's defense would prove correct based on actual data and not by using the force

now vigil isnt solely responsible for the numbers but guys you sign off the streets dont tend to be difference makers, the same with FA rookies , and 4th to 7th round draft picks . you can find exceptions for sure but you dont plan for exceptions to all show up at our door step

Fuller is very up and down as a FA CB prospect. He was so disappointing that the Bears declined his 5th year option and brought in some middle of the road vets to fill in his spot. THEN, his play suddenly got better in a contract year. The system didn't suddenly change--he's been in Fangio's system for years now. That's a big red flag imo. It makes Fuller a much riskier choice.

I did find this on Breeland, but it basically says he could command as much as 10Million per year. It's just speculation though.

Spotrac gave a market value of 6.9 mil for Bree. I think he may get more.
