True, But it’s quite obvious KC would not accept that insult of a deal. That lowball would be completely ridiculed...

I don't know man.

If reports are true, we are giving Smith $71M in guaranteed money. That's $11M more than Stafford, and $31M more than Carr got.

If they were willing to give Smith $71M guaranteed, I think $80M guaranteed aint to far off, gets Kirk to the table at least... and if they fail on that... it makes this Smith deal look a lot less like a save face move.

Of course that again assumes they....

Wanted to Keep Kirk.

Actually its NOT a direct quote from Gruden, its what Kirk said Gruden said.

So for those of us who know anything about the legal system... at best its hear say.

The difference between Kirk and Bruce is... Kirk has no reason to TRY and damage another mans reputation. So I doubt he would lie, but I don't doubt that even now he would say what puts Gruden in the best light possible.

KC is gone & Smith is here let’s move on and figure out what we need to do next to succeed especially where 1 of our division rivals is in the SuperBowl and Dallas isn’t to far behind the Eagles. No point in kicking a dead horse/KC contract when it doesn’t matter anymore. Let’s help Smith with weapons in FA and draft. Also draft a QB to groom when Smiths time with Skins are through. A lot of decent QBs in draft we can get after RD1.

IM just rolling with what I have been told here. We got the better QB, we should be healthy.

If we add talent, we should be better than Dallas and Philly as we have a better QB now.

11-5 or Bust is my expectation.

So a 10-6 season and playoff win doesn't do anything for you? Interesting

Sure it would... But we have a better QB, so if we are 11-5 I expect a playoffs appearance.. and a win.

After all he is a better QB.

He is the cheaper QB and probably better. So we should be all excited for 2018.

Winning the battle and losing the war are two different things We won't know for a couple of years who won. My take is you won the battle but you are going down in the long run.

We should be, but then again some of us know the difference between a football move, and a Snyder move. Until proven otherwise, this is just the latest Snyder move.

We gained a QB and will lose a QB = Tie for now
We lost a CB = Loss for secondary
We lost 3rd round pick = Loss of a starter

I don’t see us winning the battle or a single war

We lost a 3rd rounder for now but we can still get a 3rd rounder back through the draft trading down or picking up extra picks and fuller was good nodoubt but we are still loaded at cb and still Fa and draft yet

Those options were still available to us...so no matter how you slice it or what you do, we lost Fuller and a third. There are no contingencies related to this move.

Cerrato would never pay a Redskin the contract they have earned. Signing an overaged and overrated QB who has been in an ideal position and finally had a good season is totally a Cerrato move.

Bruce Allen=Vinny Cerrato

Thanks Ritz, I understood the math. Some like our friend coach here said the ABCers won so I went with that notion and made my post. The ABCers have to decide if, like coach, that they won.

I think we know there are a few who are :wank: all over themselves at this deal. Different strokes for different folks. :headbanger:

i think alot people are pissed on here because they are kirk lovers but here is the fact 1. Kirk at age 30 was not going to resign (last big payday before he hangs it up) 2. skins fucked up 2 years ago but Scott Mac said at that time trade kirk scott mac did not want kirk either not all bruce fault.3.they new at 13 at best they could get the 3rd or 4th best qb could that player start and win games in 18 proably not because there not the top two.. 4.find a solid qb that can move the chains and the sametime we can still rebuild defense and running game and are depth at cb was so deep losing 1 was no big deal
