i think the best thing that could happen is for KC to go to Denver and win a SB while we go 6-10. We have to get rid of Bruce Allen.

"What's the best thing for this team... realistically?"

(The Bruce Allen thing apparently won't happen for another 6 or 7 years)

relax, maybe you get a decent vet like mccown and draft a guy it wouldnt be horrible.

LEt you build up some offensive talent

your best guys are a pass catching RB, and a slot wr.

your stud TE cant be counted on.

doctson showed some promise.

but in a year or two adding a few pieces could make it alot better.

What makes you believe we wouldn’t trade away or release the offensive talent we build up after the ALex Smith trade?

What makes you believe we will sign another vet after getting Smith?

This team was decimated with injuries at every position and in some spots (the all important offensive line) we were playing 3rd and 4th stringers good part of year. Our top two threats (Reed and Thompson) weren't round long and our number 1 WR (Pryor) turned to be a bust at the position. Yet we managed to win 7 games and dare I say had our defense not faltered down the stretch in key moments we probably had 9 wins. As Steelers pride just said,, this team has talent just had a crippling year of unlucky breaks. Everybody needs to relax,,, we just got rid of a QB but got in return basically the same guy who has 2 or 3 good years left baring injury. Draft a QB in later rounds and let him sit for couple years grooming. Sky aint falling. Its overcast but far from falling.

What was a thought, we would sign a McCown now that we have Smith at QB? That is absurd.

How did I overestimate the talent? You said maybe we would get some better pieces...I asked what makes you think we won’t trade those pieces away as evidenced by sending away Fuller.

If you haven't done so. You should really read that article @SoCalWizFan posted a while back. I'm not saying its gospel, but it gives very plausible reasons as to why Allen may be around a whole lot longer than any of us (Skins fans) want him to be.

Yea so basically 5 more years of Bruce minimum. Because we need to be out of RalJohn by 2027, it will take two years to build the new place. So we are stuck with Bruce until 2023 at least.

Way to remind me and get my weekend started off right. Next Philly will fork around and win Sunday. :L:gaah:

Sorry, Shark. Wasn't trying to spoil your week and I'm not saying beyond doubt that's the reason Allen is still around. It does make a whole lottta sense, at least to me, as to why Allen is part of the Redskins brain trust at this time.

And as Snyder and/or Allen have deemed it mandatory not to give interviews concerning the Skins. We're left to our own devices to speculate and guess why Allen is still here after mangling the Cousins situation the way he did.

I've been beating this drum for years, in fact, had they made a move to upgrade from Colt two years ago as I suggested, the trade for Smith, would not have been necessary now.

It only became a mistake when they decided not to keep Cousin's. With a LTD and most FOs in the league he would have been here another 6-7 years minimum. That wouldn't do for this team since neither Sonny or Joey T started (most of the games in an NFL season) 10 years for the Redskins.
