So I missed most of the first half, but apparently AJ Green ditched a dude for a TD...

Watching the fig work the offense, and he looks exactly like he did in college. His release looks slow & telegraphed, and I've only seen him complete a pass to the TE so far this drive. Attempted 2 passes to WRs that I saw & both were way off target & hung up there a while.

He did shake off Manny Lawson who beat the RT off the edge for a nice run though. Like I said: exactly like he played in college.

Next play threw to S.S. again & it was uncatchable (out of bounds) near the corner of the end zone.

You just named my consecutive bust picks. Cam' is a SLIGHTLY richer man's Tebow, but that's like saying he's a very wealthy man's Jamarcus Russell.

Predition 5 years from now: Andrew Luck is going to have to hire private security to follow him everywhere because Panther fans are going to try to go all Jimmy Clausen on him for going back to school this year.

Well I can't blame you 'cause Cam' is terrible IMO. But I don't know the last time I thought a QB drafted in the first 3 rounds was a worse prospect than Tebow.

I didn't say first 5 rounds because of Nate Davis and Brandon Doman.

I was going to say, yeah, trade partners for Cam Newton. Then I did a little research and the Panthers guaranteed him the full 22 million dollars. It would be pretty hard to offload that contract if he isn't at least average for a rook.

The guy had no OTS, split time with Jimmy during training camp, etc. We new he was a "bad" passer in the collegiate rank, the lockout prevented coaches from schooling him to being a better passer. The guy hasn't had enough enough exposure yet you're saying he's horrible. Give him some time...

Not that I would have drafted him first overall. I clearly stated that Panthers should have gone AJ Green and allow Jimmy to play with Steve Smith, AJ Green, Greg Olson, and their two solid RBs. If Jimmy is as bad as most people say he is, then the Panthers would have had the # 1 pick again and would have gotten the luxury to add Andrew Luck in 2012. Panthers messed up their draft strategy / future in drafting Cam. Yet, I still think it's premature judgment on you guys part in labeling him a horrible NFL QB. He hasn't even had the chance? C'mon Man!!

It's really hard to beat Tebow as the worst QB drafted in the first 3 rds... that's a bar that can't be beaten... Newton was close but not on Tebow's level lol.

If Cam Newton runs for the endzone like he did in preseason and then extends himself like that to get the ball in the endzone, he's going to get himself killed someday in the NFL.

That's not even the worst part about his game. Cam's throws are like they're in slow motion. His release is like he's not even in a hurry at all, and the ball just floats so peacefully.

Oh, and it's usually WAY off target unless he's throwing to a TE or RB.
