On, January 24, 1848, when gold was found by James W. Marshall at Sutter's Mill in Coloma California. The news of Gold bought many westward in search of riches. Unfortunately, for far too many, the optimism setting out, soon turned into despair after dreams of grandeur were burst and there was no proper preparation beyond having a fortune.

This is the lesson that the San Francisco 49'ers present this week if our guys believe, in any way, that the niners are going to be, easy pickings. Under Gruden, Washington presents a 1-2 record following the bye week. There's no doubt that Gruden would love nothing better than leveling that record as they transition from the perception of....... MEH:ohwell:... to... Heyyyyy :dingdingding:in NFL circles.

On the other hand Kyle Shanahan and his 0-5 charges are hungry to get a first win in his young career. Nothing sweeter at this point could be had if that first win came against his former place of employment. I try to convince myself that this is not a "trap" game, but every time that I try to ignore that feeling, I just can't seem to shake it. What do you say about this one?

As usual, we ask for your predictions related to:
1. Who wins this game?
2. Final score
3. Player(s) of the game
4. Memorial moment, event or play, that will have them buzzing at the water cooler on Monday morning.

49ers win 38 to 10

PG eats dunbar alive , shanny out coaches gruden , dean and coach go on a KC hate fest and dean will talk endlessly about game management in the 1st half

doom and gloom awaits us because of false hype and hope

perine fumbles at the goal line , KC has 4 picks in the red zone defense gives up 600 yds total with hyde rushing for 198 yds and hoyer throwing for over 400 yds and 4 tds

And lest we forget, this will spawn an endless tirade of "We should have traded him while he had value" threads involving Cousins.

49ers win 26-22. Redskins have the ball on the 11 yard line with 1:10 left in the game and run the ball with 11 men in the box trying to kill the clock before they score. They end up not scoring a TD on the possession. Dean breaks his TV after what he calls the worst call ever.

Kidding...Skins win 38-20.

Gawd, I hope that you didn't vote.....no disrespect Reptec,.....but we have this wonderfully cursed tool where you're able to reference things, not to look smart, but to set the stage for the greater point.

BTW: there are many who know history, they/we can recite both names and dates in addition to the associated occurrence, who knew huh? Here try it....what happened on September 11, 2001? Who knows this shit?....Really?

On paper this is a total mismatch......on paper!

San Fran lost its' opening game by 20 points, the next 4 by margins of..3,...2,...3,...and 3 points respectively. That to me signals a closer game than most of us hope it to be.

D.C 24......San Francisco 21

Player of the game...C. Thompson

Memorial moment....J. Doctson repeats the same play that he dropped in the last game this time securing it for the TD, then jumps up, looks directly into the camera and shouts out...."You like that Shark, you like that!!??"":D

Water Cooler talk.....Buzz about C. Thompson grows louder (later named player of the week)

I was thinking about this the other day. On September 25, 1820, Salem, NJ held a trial against… tomatoes. The general populace believed that tomatoes were poisonous, so Robert Johnson stepped in to prove them wrong. To do so, he bravely stood before a crowd at the courthouse and consumed a whole basket of the delectable fruit.

I only bring this up because just like these tomatoes,,, you have me all wrong. Wasn't trying to piss you off just having fun with ya. Heavens people are touchy round these parts. Oh, in case anyone was wondering. After eating the tomatoes Robert Johnson didn't die and the trial was dismissed.

note: the topic on whether the tomato is a vegetable or a fruit will be discussed at a different date and time. To be announced.

Here you go:

Cousins is going to wear a jersey that is burgundy Redskin on the right and San Fran white on the left.

He is going to start for both offenses.

He will throw for 367 yards and 3 TDs for the Redskins
He will throw for 288 yards and 3 TDs for the 48ers

The difference in the game is he runs a RO TD for the Redskins. Final score Redskins 27-24.

What from your perspective is the % chance that KC goes to SF?

If they are smart that will not let him leave. I thought they would be smart the last two off seasons. Nope he isn't Aaron Rodgers or Tom Brady but I believe and stats agree that he is top 10 in the league. I think anything is possible.
