Don't beat Doctson up to much. He should have made the catch, but it was a very, very difficult catch and would have been #1 on the highlight reel this week if he did. He has talent. We need to use him more and he will reward us, i believe.

We hear a lot of feedback & criticism regarding Doctson & Pryor. However what I think is missing for now is more intermediate passing & they need more contributions from Reed and Crowder in this area. If they can stay healthy they need to be a much bigger part of this offense moving fwd.

You're right. Just like Preston Smith sucked 90% of the games he played his first 2 years, now he only such 25% of the games. He is learning just like all young guys do. By making mistakes and correcting them over time. Give doctson a full year or 2. IF he can stay healthy, he has the physical gifts to be special......just like Smith.

Thank you. Trust me - these will be some of the same folks who say that they want to move forward with a rookie QB but will bitch nonstop if/when the same QB has issues. No patience whatsoever. Same folks who bitch about Snyder acting in this manner yet act practically in the same manner.

Overall things are not bad rt now but you wouldn't know based on the opinions of some folks (not directed at you Shark).

Exactly. We have to use him more. Honestly, if you are going to throw a fade, why would you throw it to anybody else?

He states that after the TO on 3 and 2 he was trying to score. Not pickup the first down. There was 57 seconds left with two timeouts left for the Skins. What was the rush to score? We were already in FG range. I thought the first down was a priority over taking a shot in the end zone. Even if Doctson catches the pass it leaves the Chiefs with 47 seconds left and 2 timeouts for the go ahead TD. Wasn't he worried about that with our banged up secondary?

Don't get me wrong JD should of caught it. Im just surprised Gruden was thinking TD first. That play was originally supposed to go to Reed on a double move another deep pass. Does anyone else think attacking the end zone was a bold move in that situation?
Everything must go right in your scenario Dean. That is simply not the case in the NFL man. Gruden saw an opportunity to go for 6 points (it was there to Doctson & Reed) and it simply didn't work out in that situation. The Redskins had a chance to beat what most consider the best team in the NFL in the last minute of play and because things didn't go exactly according to plan, someone is to blame? Fuck that, we played well and had a chance to win Monday night. I'm excited about our season, in fact, the most excited I have been in years and we are only 2-2 at this point. Excited because its evident the team has improved in many areas to include coaching, leadership, talent and even the way this team is going about its business. You can clearly see it.

You are wrong and here is why. Even if he wanted to call the timeout after the CT run WAIT and kill another 20 or 30 seconds then call it. The whole reason why you run there is to kill clock. Why would you stop it? Even if he wanted to go for the juggler he should of still killed clock. If we threw a shot pass and failed you still would have killed 20 or 20 seconds. Those seconds are huge in this type of game. He took a huge risk. It wasn't smart clock mgt.

The reason you run it there is to catch the opposing team off guard. You can afford to do that because you have timeouts.

I am wrong because you have to be right Dean, I get it. Either way, good call by Gruden to go for 6 when quite possibly, we don't pick up the first down running the ball and we attempt a FG that Hopkins could make or miss. You just never know. Like Shark mentioned in another post, if Doctson secures the catch, our probability to win just went way up as KC would have had to score a TD to win so...move on to SF.

So you place blame directly on Gruden, I get it. Thanks!

taking a timeout after the CT run is horrible. As a coach you should know that.

Funny how Dean never appears to be critical of Pryor. Like Doctson he has made some key plays but has also botched several plays & his hands are very suspect at this time. Hmm - perhaps because Dean called the pickup of Pryor the FA move of the year & used it to help him justify his mancrush on Allen.

Both of these players have been a mixed bag this season. Honestly I might have more hope in the future for Doctson than Pryor since Pryor appears to have issues with his hands & his routes. I hope that I am wrong & that both of these guys shine for the remainder of the season.

I have been critical of Pryor. He blew that 3rd down play. He was afraid to get hit. Too many drops also.

OK - my bad. IMO his issues are more of a concern. I have some faith that Doctson will redeem himself - not so sure about Pryor. BTW - have you come around yet on Cousins or do you still believe that he needs to prove himself?

I like the way Kc is playing this year. I like when he scrambles and moves in the pocket. He looks like a better QB than Week 1. of course I have faith in Doctson but he should of caught that ball. You always bring the ball in your chest in that situation.
