Agree with dad, they knew Phillips wasn't going to make the team so they brought another center in (camp body) while Long is down.

i think phillips could make it on pitts roster so i think phillips is happy this is a good trade

It makes sense Phillips was going to get cut. Norman, Bb, Fuller, Dunbar, FM. Even if we did keep 6 CB's Hosley would probably make it.

Agreed on Mangold since it has been rumored he wants to start at substantial pay. But I cannot see what advantage of signing another center with no experience if Roullier goes down. I was merely looking for an experienced guy like Sullivan of whom we brought in last year. On that note, I hope Crowley turns into a Pro bowler.
