GoT = Got our Teleporters.

Meh. It's been going on since the first episode of the series. Only they were able to use the growth of the direwolves as a way of telling us a lot of time had passed, and had characters explicitly state that weeks had passed. Not sure why so many people are dwelling on this these last few seasons.

Dany spent like 5 seasons building a giant army and in 2 episodes it is depleted

So Dany's pretty much screwed now, right? And I don't see the Dothraki doing much against that army.

She basically needs to wipe out Euron Greyjoy at this point... because he seems to be teleporting everywhere and wiping out ships. He just wiped out 2 massive fleets. Unsullied are basically stuck at an abandoned castle with no sense of leadership on their team (Greyworm is far from anything pre-battlefield tactics wise - he's just a fighter).

The next episode is called "The Spoils of War." which is probably going to be more about the Lanisters seizing High Garden and nullifying a major component of Dany's army. High Garden brings with it all the gold they needed to repay the Iron Bank which is a pretty big deal.

This might leave Cersei a bit over confident. I think we'll get an episode with heavy focus on Dany/Jon and them being FORCED to unite given the major losses Dany has endured and the fact that the Dothraki are good warriors but stand no chance to the superior armory and technological advances of King's Landing. There will probably be a segment on Sam as well (Spoils of War - technically his war with the disease/Citadel forbidding to help) where he discovers that the scrolls he's supposed to duplicate actually contain the info. he needs, and there was no way he could've gotten it otherwise.

I'm pretty sure she will lose a dragon in battle now... The unsullied are pretty much stuck at Casterly Rock, especially if she decides to just follow her instincts.

She must be feeling pretty bad about listening to Tyrion right now.

I think Jaime will take one down with Qyburn's contraption. I'm just not sure if it will die or if they will somehow learn to control it while it heals from its injuries.

That would be pretty cool actually.

BTW, since they are teleporting all over the place, I'd like to see Bronn return the favor and save Tyene. Pretty far fetched, I know, but it would be nice.

If the Crown/Lannisters return to good standing with the Iron Bank, could they hire Daario and the Second Sons?

I mean they're at war with Cersei at the very least. Maybe Dany just got into town, and none of the Spiders little birds remember him, but at least the Dornish and Martells would have noticed that they emptied 10k soldiers out of Casterlyrock and enough wagons and carts to "empty the larders" and then proceeded to March those armies all the way across the entire kingdom.

How long does it take to March an army like that across the whole kingdom? How long to do it without anyone anywhere noticing? Without anyone anywhere telling Dany that a whole enemy army was just out in the open. And they couldn't have started that plan before they me with Euron, right?

It just pisses me off, because GRRM spent years between books. Years and fucking years. Like 1 book in the past 12-13 years. He spent all that time figuring out all the little details. And then these fucking idiots write an episode in an afternoon and don't give a shit if it doednt make sense. Its like they saw the Mona Lisa and realiuzed people like paintings of women with weird smiles... So they got out their crayola finger paints. Theyre just making a mess of things

I guess I took the teleporting comment mostly as a suggestion that people were moving around very quickly. If it was meant as a suggestion that people were not being noticed while in transit from one place to another than the point is taken. One would indeed think that couldn't go unnoticed. But let's not forget that even in GRRM's first book that Stark soldiers were able to move 18,000 men without the Lannisters being aware of it. There have been far bigger blunders on some great movies and TV shows (including this one) than this.

But the hobbit explained how that was done. Explain something and it can be clever. What Rob did to beat Jaime was clever. It also set things up for the future. Out of George explaining that (using the bridge at the twins) he set up the red wedding. Out of the red wedding came Aryas recent feast. It was part of the plot.

Lannister soldiers all of the sudden taking HighGarden virtually unopposed was just a deux ex machina and didn't do anything to add to anything.

But the teleporting is more than that. Euron's whole fleet made it back to Kings Landing. Had a formal reception. Dropped off all his prisoners. Resupplied. And then made it to Casterly Rock. Not only made it to Casterly Rock, but did so unseen. Again. Unseen on open water is a long way away. But none of the ships saw his armada coming. And he made it there like 30 minutes behind Greyworm.

It's just too full of dues ex machina for me. The writers don't have a bit of intelligence or cleverness. Theyre just hoping wer're all willing to take everything at face value. But theres a difference between GoT and all the shit the put on the syfi channel. Untilnrecently that difference was cleverness. Right now the only difference is the investment we all have into the series.

All I remember is Robb misleading the scout which was indeed clever, but wouldn't explain why nobody noticed. So I can't really comment on anything other than that since I don't recall.

I get that you might think it doesn't make sense how they did it but Lannister soldiers taking Highgarden doesn't add anything to anything? Are you sure about that? We haven't even seen the fallout from that and you are already making the claim that having the best war general betray his liege lord/lady and taking one of the most valuable castles in the 7 Kingdoms and having another one of Daenerys' allies fall after entering the season so strong, doesn't add anything to anything? We also get a good "death scene" to a long-time fan favorite character who went out like a champ and revealed her biggest secret to someone who would care about it the most (probably not so much for Joffrey's sake but for Tyrion who was framed for it). Are you sure you're not letting your emotions do your thinking for you here because you disliked certain aspects of this episode? If not I'm not sure what you mean by "doesn't add anything to anything".

Speaking of Randyll Tarley siding with the Lannisters, that could be part of the explanation as to how they were able to surprise Highgarden and it could be revealed in the next episode. Was Olenna aware that her longtime ally betrayed her? Were Tarley men giving Highgarden false information? How many other Lords of the Reach followed Tarley's lead?

As for Euron, who do you think would have faster ships and crew? Euron Greyjoy or the Unsullied who were likely mostly using the ships they stole from the slavers? It's a long journey from the Dragonstone/King Landing area to Casterly Rock and that's plenty of time for a faster fleet to catch up to a slower one, especially since the slower one wasn't even aware they were being followed. But they showed up 30 minutes later? Really? You're saying the unsullied executed everything in a matter of 30 minutes? Also I suspect Euron was there but we don't know for sure yet that he was, but I think I saw Silence and if so he was mostly likely there.

Casterly Rock is fairly close to Highgarden... Not exactly "marching across the kingdom". BTW, it's easy to take Highgarden after the Tarlys turned on the Tyrells. I don't have a huge problem with this.

Pyke is also very close to Casterly Rock, so it's not far fetched to have a portion of the ironborn fleet there.

My biggest problem is to have Euron's huge fleet entering King's Landing without anyone on Dragonstone noticing it, unless Euron took the prisoners there himself but left his fleet out in the open seas.

I forget how or why Olenna went to Highgarden? Was that mentioned last episode? Did the Unsullied drop her off? Did they need her to be the one to tell the Tyrell army to lay siege to King's Landing? Which by the way was a bizarre supposedly "merciful" alternative to dragons in my opinion.

So far the season is going quite nicely. Good thing too because it's already at the midway point next week.

So hard to predict how this thing is going to end up, but for now they really want us to think Cersei is going to end up ruining everyone in the end as she sure has given heavy blows to the enemy on her doorstep.

I love how her brother was able to fuck her one night, and was able to meet the army on the battlefield the next day.

How funny would it have been if Jaime just lopped off Olenna's head right at the end of that episode? Come on GoT writers. You guys gotta do SOMETHING outlandish without GRRM's help at some point.

Overall best episode this season though.

She should. Tyrion's advice was fucking stupid.

Nah, White Walkers bring it down and then big undead Ice Dragon incoming. Those "Dragon take down machines" are just basic medieval ballistics. Don't know why they don't have a shit ton to begin with. They should have a lot of those. Anybody who has played Age of Empires knows this.

Anyway they are made of wood so it's only going to take one miss to ensure they get burned to the point where they're unusable.

EURON's fleet is starting to annoy me. I might be the minority....but it is ruining the season.

He is suddenly an all-powerful Godlike Navy that can be anywhere, sneak up unseen, and destroy everything easily.

That just seems a bit lazy writing.

He went from a bit player never mentioned for 5 seasons to this almost comically overpowered fleet that can seemingly teleport where ever the next plot device needs it.

They have to do that so he can fuck up Dany and make her not so overpowered. I mean, it ain't great writing but they kind of wrote themselves into a corner.
