T-Lance is one smart guy

To be fair, I never thought he would be playing these minutes on this stage. I thought he would play in the regular season then fall out of the rotation in the playoffs.

Having McCaw and Clark as 3rd and 4th bench guards is perfect though. You need offense? Go with Clark. Need a defender to chase a guy like Kyrie? MCCaw is your man. Kerr used each player really well in the playoffs.

Durant destroyed him in the 2012 finals as well

Yet, some claim that LeBron owned LD the too.

Didn't KD score 30 every game? I realize the Heat won, but that loss wasn't on KD anymore than this loss is on LeBron. Both men simply lost to a superior team, but played well in the process.

not bad for a non-top rated rookie, right...?

Nope but played great. Had 30+ in 3 of the 5 games that year. 25 & 28 in the other 2 games. Dude avg 30 on 55% shooting in that finals which is why I never understood the whole KD is going to fold under pressure in this finals that Wigg kept insisting.

KD actually outscored Lebron in that series. The problem for OKC in that series was that Ibaka & Harden went MIA. KD & Russ did their part.

Durant's going to get his regardless. But Lebron wasn't the guaranteed lockdown defender like he used to be. His transition and rotational defense in this series left a lot to be desired. I get it, he has to conserve energy along with hoping he doesn't get in foul trouble. But it's still noticeable now.

Love was disappointing big time. Kyrie had a shitty 4th quarter also. Lebron needed help in the 4th. Never got it

Yeah, I think the foul trouble took Love out of the game. He's the type of guy that feeds off of a strong start.

Kyrie gave it his all he just didn't have it last night. Overall I'm not too disappointed with any of the Cavs players outside of maybe Deron and Korver. I would've been upset with TT, but he brought it the last couple games.

You should be disappointed with the defense though. How many wide open dunks/layups Iggy got last night due to poor defense? 4 or 5?

KD was the reason every game was competitive. Westbrook had 2 games that series (one he went off for 40+ iirc). Harden was the weak link on that team. He shows up and we may be talking about Lebron not having rings in Miami.

But Lebron will get the lion's share of the blame. Strange how that seems to work out.

Yeah, for sure. I think that's the biggest take away from this season, looking forward. If a team wants to set their eyes on taking the Warriors crown, they better start with defense.

The Cavs have a bunch of offensive players that can't play D and a few defensive players that can't play offense. And LeBron. They need to find some guys that can do some of both, imo.
