I wonder if he'll keep Bill Lazor on staff. Lazor was OC while he was QB coach in Miami.... He actually replaced Lazor when Lazor got fired. My hope is that he goes in a completely new direction, but I could see the partnership working.

I also wonder about Dalton.... Seems interesting that they chose the guy with QB coaching background.

someone who actually wants to be here.

Not sure what makes him qualified to be HC, but if he can call time outs better than Marv, then it's an improvement.

I wonder if it's common practice to announce who your going to hire before you even interview the candidate.

It seems kind of strange to me.

If Coach Taylor ends up being our guy, I like that its from outside, but as has been said, who knows if hes capable of running the show. Resume does seem a bit short.

As QB coach, I feel like he needs a shot with Andy before we move on. Andy isnt the answer for us, but he also isnt really the problem. Hes shown he can consistently get us to the playoffs with the right tools.

Id rather we fix the OL and secondary/CBs. Also need to shit or get off the pot with Eifert and get a TE if we part ways. Would also like to see us get a platoonmate for Joe (Kareem Hunt anyone?)

All that is to say I dont feel like Grier or Haskins are going to be franchise Super Bowl QBs. Murray is going to MLB. Not worth using a high draft pick that could go towards fixing one of the above units. Andy is more than serviceable, those areas are much more dire. And whether its Andy or someone else, no one is going to succeed without a legitimate OL. Id rather give Taylor a chance with Andy and use those draft picks wisely for the future.

Rumors have Darrell Bevel - Longtime Seattle OC in the running for the OC position on Taylor's staff. He was hired at one point by Taylor's Father in Law in Green Bay.

The good news about Bevel is that he is already Bengalized..... That INT in the Super Bowl gave him honorary Bengalization for life.

The upside to the long wait for the official announcement of Zac Taylor as coach is that Geoff Hobson has been effectively quarentined from discussing the Bengals future. Can you imagine how much time he has had to come up with clever titles about Zac? Prepare for some Hobs gold over the next 2 or 3 weeks.

This guarantees the Ram's will lose. Now that he's a Bengal he's bad luck.

maybe he can teach Dandy Andy to throw that beautiful interception... well, at least Goff has won a playoff game... I digress.
