Don't get your undies in a wad there Wamu. Just suggesting a way out that may or may not have merit. Granted it is not optimal but neither is keeping a disgruntled guy like Cousins either.

That trade idea is absurd & totally 1 sided. Only a Lakers fan would dream up something like that. Also why would the Kings trade Boogie to a division rival only to get next to nothing in return?

You have me confused with someone else. Maybe they would trade Cousins to the Lakers because he requested the Lakers. Did you ever think of that? The Celtics are also interested and I personally would not want Cousins because he can be a real headcase at times. I have already stated that on several occasions here the Lakers board but you seem to be hellbent on expressing your displeasure for Lakers fans.

Gasol would be my first choice out of all of the bigs, but I don't see him leaving Memphis. Jordan would be great and the Lakers might be able to convince him to walk across the hall. Word is he and CP3 don't really get along. the fun thing with getting Jordan would be that it would pretty well be a killshot on the Clips because they don't have the cap space to replace him.

Folks don't seem as high on Monroe, not sure why though. Isn't Brooke the better of the 2 Lopez's?

Brook is better offensively and twice as expensive. Robin is the better rebounder and defender, and can provide some offense when needed.

Divac would be outta his mind to trade Cousins for that package of shit.

I think Ranadive will either keep Cousins and fire Karl (or force them to work together) or succumb to Karl and trade Cousins/Landry to the Nuggets for a package including some combo of Lawson/Faried/Chander and future draft picks (after July 1 to avoid Faried's poison pill status).

The Kings gotta figure something out. I was just looking up some different articles about Karl & Cousin's. One article says Karl wants to trade Cousins to the Nuggets for Ty Lawson & Kenneth Faried. I don't think that trade will happen but wouldn't it be a bit odd to trade Cousins to the Nuggets since the Kings fired Mike Malone?

Yea a guard who can't play d!!

The Lakers need a guy that can take over a game with his offense, Kobe will be gone in a year. Russell is exactly that guy. His off-the-ball defense is actually pretty good, just needs to work on defense that will come in time.

Okafor wasnt a good defender either and an awful free throw shooter.

If okafor turns out be like I think he will. Tim d, the Lakers will look foolish. I watched him all year and Okafor is a beast. When Russell went up agianst top talent in the torny, be came up real small. We could have gotten Okafor and tyus Jones!!!

He played great in the big tourney.
You mean when he scored 28 10-20 from the field against one of the best defensive teams in VCU in the first round.
He had his worst game of the year against Arizona but they were great defensively and that game he was just off. I wouldnt base his whole career off one game, the kid can ball. He also is a very good rebounder and an underrated passer.

Russell is gonna be a stud for many years. Kid can shoot from anywhere, he has great vision, but what's most impressive is how he can break down anyone off the dribble. He also gets to learn from one of the best SGs of all-time. The Clarkson/Russell duo should pay dividends in the years to come for the Lakers. If Randle turns into something decent and they can get a legit big, they'll be back in no time.

Yep I agree with assessments of Shanemansj and Across The Field. Good stuff guys and very astute observations.

All I did was disagree w/ your trade idea because it was very one sided. Not sure how you took that comment to mean I have some kinda displeasure w/ Laker fans though.

Well Wamu, I took it as you presented it with a touch of negativity and value judgment on a suggestion without knowing anything about how I perceived the trade personally. I already explained that portion, so I am done with this discussion.

Malone seemed to work fine with Cousins, and the team was off to a hot start until Cousins got sick and they went into a tailspin.

Looking forward to summer league games again. Good opportunity for the young nucleus to start building that chemistry.

I think Denver is the more likely trade partner for Sacramento now. Makes a lot of sense after the draft. Sacramento drafted a C that fits what Karl likes to do. Denver has some of Karl's old band mates and drafted a PG to replace Lawson.

The connection with the Nuggies appears to be growing and a trade of Cousins to Denver is probably going to happen before one to LA.
