If this off-season thus far is indicative of what's to be expected in the upcoming draft it isn't too early to also give perspectives on how well Washington's war room will perform beginning on Thursday evening. That said, how do you think the Commanders will do in this draft?

I had much more confidence when Kyle Smith was in the room. Now I just cover my eyes and hope for the best. Nothing Carolina North and Mayhew have done so far is impressive.

Dr. Doomsday at his best. How do you compare London to Doctson?

You need to watch the London highlights again. Nobody could stop this guy. If you are a fan of the "big " Wr you will like him. You said you wanted WR at #11 which WR do you want?

I would rather have a London, Burks or even Christian Watson at #11 then draft a duplicate of Terry McClaurin in Wilson or Olave at that pick. I would also like Hamilton if he is there.

I know that this won't rest well with @Dean, but the Carson Wince trade, followed by little to no activity in free agency in part because of it, has turned some into disbelievers in this front office. Expectations are low from my own perspective come from what looks like settling for less organizationally. In fact, If I offered these three tiers:

1. Teams that are aggressive in trying to be among the best.

2. Teams desperately trying not to be middling and making efforts to move into my first tier.

3. Teams that appear satisfied with a "less than" or failing status.

Honestly, in which tier would Washington be placed given the current front office's moves over the last couple of seasons?

I think they have drafted pretty well over the last few years.

I have no idea what they’re doing this year.

I hope they dont draft the safety or a wr first. Their safety play was ok (not great, not terrible). There are supposedly a shit-ton of great wrs in this draft.

Trade down and draft the best wr or lb available, and/or draft the best qb in the late teens, and a wr in the second.

Bingo!

Couldnt agree more. London looks like the classic “AAAA” player in baseball - dominant in the minor leagues and a scrub in the Show.

Wouldn't mind a trade down either, possibly pick up another 2nd and late rounder. Grab WR Watson in late first and LB Anderson in the 2nd. Two of the best athletes in this draft for their size and position.

I think thursday will prove the fans are just as competent at drafting as the hired men to do it. Current leadership needs to admit we are rebuilding

Its a crap shoot. There is no perfect draft. IF yo have a top 10 pick it doesn't mean you are guaranteed a star player. If you have multiple picks it doesn't make you will get quality starters. There is no science to it. All teams are really guessing on the film that they see.

Maybe Pittsburgh comes up to draft Willis and we can still get Olave at 20 and grab their 2nd round pick.

Use that along with our own to draft either Brisker or Cross to be the Buffalo Nickle and take Payne's replacement.

I'd be cool with that.

Hmmmm, you are absolutely right, i don't know in any team ever that had a "perfect" draft. However take for instance Cincinnati, and what they did with "multiple picks"...this is a team we beat BTW.
2018 multiple pick hits
Jessie bates 2nd S, Sam hubbard 3rd edge. 2020 joe burrow qb 1st Tee Higgins wr 2
In 2019 they hit with Jonah Williams at OT, and Jamar Chase this past draft.
I'd say there was a science to this, they weren't guessing, and multiple picks will result in quality starters.
You've got to understand Dean, that yes....this group of men are guessing, they are lazy and suck at their job.
Hence, they don't get the big picture of building a team, and they make bonehead releases of talent they actually developed. I'm sorry man, go down the street to Baltimore, and you'll see how to draft, pursue free agency and get the best out of your coaching staff.
I'm still hoping we're all wrong and the deadskins turn it around with this draft. I'd even be happy if they get it right with the first
