Texas isn't going anywhere that they won't have supreme control. They'd be a fish out of water against the likes of Iowa, Ohio St, Penn St, Wisconsin, Mich St.

If they went after anybody in the Big 12, Missouri makes the most sense geographically.

This is about revenue. The Big Ten is looking to expand it's TV market. They'd love to get Texas, but Texas has little to gain by going to the Big Ten. Missouri is a strong candidate as they have competitive football and basketball markets and a population base of nearly 6 million. Missouri would get a nice revenue bump by going to the Big Ten.

Keep in mind I'm only referring to Big XII candidates.
