I think if they play exciting hockey the fans will respond, hockey is still growing in the desert. I just hate where the stadium is located. Really impressed with Domi and Duclair though, this is fun to watch.

I'm cheering for young players to make strides. Unfortunately, there are only about 2 or 3 of those on the Leafs surrounded by 3rd-rate filler and backed by goaltending as reliable as Oldsmobile Diesels.

I'm not cheering against my team (I was on the edge of my seat screaming for them on Saturday night) but I'm realistic of where they're likely to wind up. The more teams that were expected to be crummy that play above expectations can only help the Leafs regardless of where they wind up in the standings.

Also, the top pick as well as the two succeeding it are awarded via lottery so regardless of where the Leafs wind up the odds will always be against them picking first overall anyway.
