Y i got on lane's hit on Cruz

The player got 15 games for this hit. 1st offense.

I feel he should have got 20-the rest of the season

What he did was uncalled for and there is no need for that in hockey

I just believe that hits like that are uncalled for and Cause problems down the line.

Was it really a hit? Cruz went up and Lane brought him down, I don't think there was any ill will.

Nothing wrong with the Lane "hit". The hit wasn't vicious, it wasn't illegal, hell it was almost not even there. Lane did his job, and if he does that exact same thing 10 x out of 10, then he would have done exactly what he was supposed to do 10 x out of 10.

Actually, he "brought" him down on his side, unfortunately Cruz's head also struck the ground. Lane had little to do with how Cruz came down. It's unfortunate that Cruz was hurt, but it was a good football play.

Cruz's jump for the ball caused the issue, not Lane's hit. I imagine the turf was pretty hard since it snowed the day before. they had the feild covered, but whatever is under the turf was probably harder than usual due to the freezing temperatures.

Something may be wrong with these helmets. So many turf concussions and VD almost knocked himself out hitting the wall after his TD.

I think it's time for you to realize in this case your crusade for head injuries has no merit. Lane obviously had little control over Cruz coming back down to Earth via gravity.

Do you really think that in a 1 second period of time Lane said "I'm gonna try to flip this guy on his head?" Of course not. Give it up. This play happens all the time and it's nobody's fault. Don't want to chance coming down on your head? Don't play the game.

Lane won't even get a fine from that play, he was just making a tackle. I feel for Cruz, hopefully he can make it back and get that 3rd 1000 yard season.

LOL. Lane didn't even hit him. It was an unfortunate injury because Cruz jumped to catch the ball and he just happened to hit his head as he fell. It was not like Lane intentionally suplexed Cruz to the ground causing the concussion.

Football is a fast paced game and injuries happens.

This is not even an apples to oranges comparison. It more like apples to a 1 megaton atomic weapon. The Thorton retaliation was REPEATEDLY punching another player in the face while he was most likely unconcious after the first punch.
