It also seems to me that Scott is just throwing darts at the board with these OT signings and seeing who sticks I recall him saying that's how him and the gm from the Seahawks did it with the qb position so I'm not knocking his strategy hope we get lucky

Full reading of the article tells me that SM is looking to get younger and bigger up front. This is not necessarily to say that any one of these guys starts but if you're going to go massive on the starting front, it makes all of the sense in the world to go massive at BU. I have dreamed of a time when the other guys on our oline refer to williams as "shorty" or that "little dude!" Now I'm thinking that Ammo's new bu could be some speedy sledgehammer that these guys have an eye on. Small steps for now, but the thinking is unmistakable.
