I would agree that after this loss there's no way they get a 1 seed unless a bunch of teams implode. A loss like this is worth a drop in seed line for sure IMO (but I'm just basing it off of emotion, have no experience thinking, or even caring to think, like the committee)

They've been playing terribly for over a week now with a L to Indiana, barely beating Minn at home and now this. They have no bench at all which doesn't bode well for the tourney.

Yep. But in that game, it appeared playing in a near empty arena caused Iowa the problems instead of a raucus crowd. From television, it looked like the fans came dressed as empty seats.

Honestly lack of bench play is only a problem because Fran insists on giving them their minutes even when they're playing shitty. Iowa was up 8 last night, put in the bench and PSU comes bavk. Iowa goes back up 7, puts in the bench and down 7 at half. Cuts the lead to 2, puts in bench and back to 8 and on and on. The bench has been huge fir Iowa all year but the last 3 games they've sucked. Frankly Iowa would've beat Indiana if he hadn't done the last bench rotation too. Just frustrating. I know you want to keep them confident but it shouldn't be at the expense of losing games
