Thought it would be fun to see any fan interactions with wrestlers and how the experience was...

Back in '96 when I was 10, I went to the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony...back then they had it in banquet halls (instead of the big arenas they do it in today), which meant you could go table to table and meet wrestlers. Some of the ones I met:

-the Rock (this was before he was big so nobody really cared who he was), but I do remember him being nice
-Austin (met him in the lobby during intermission and said he'd sign autographs after the event, but was nowhere to be found after the event :mad2:)
-Owen Hart
-Bob Holly
-the fake Razor Ramon and Diesel (who's Kane)
-Mark Henry
-British Bulldog
-Psycho Sid
-Ahmed Johnson
-HBK (big crowd around him so only could get a quick autograph but no other interaction)
-Bret Hart (same as HBK)

A few years ago I met Scott Steiner in the gym...he was in NYC for an indie show. Seemed nice enough and was able to take a photo with him.

Went to a Legends of Wrestling event at Citifield 2 years ago...got to meet Bret Hart, Brodus Clay, Gallows and Anderson.

Last time Wrestlemania was in the NY area (WM 29), went to Axxess and met Rikishi, Great Khali, and 3MB (3MB couldn't have been more chill).

Some dude pulled his Caddy right on my door at a local store and I was about to tell him off and it ended up being Mad Dog Vachon. The guy was a great amateur wrestler as was his sons. He would have turned me into a pretzel so I kept my mouth shut.

I think I met Dustin Rhodes and Marcus Bagwell back at an auto show in the early 90's.

Not sure if this counts or not but I'm thinking about going to one of Gary Michael Capetta's one man shows in May when he's going to be in Richmond.

I have yet to meet any but I've always dreamed about hanging out with them and listening to their stories from the road

I'm not much of a wrestling fan, but I've hung out with "Hornswoggle" on numerous occasions. He's best friends with my cousin. I knew him when he was in high school.

He seems like he'd be very cool in person.

Yeah, cool dude. I went to a Brewers game with him back when he was at the height of his WWE popularity. We were tailgating in the Miller Park parking lot - downing brews and trying to toss some cornhole bags - and 60-year-old dudes were recognizing him and asking him for pictures. It was pretty awkward and sometimes annoying, but he took it in stride.

One of the things I admire most about him is that raising his son is his true #1 priority. So often guys who hit any level of celebrity status have a tendency to abandon their offspring and ride the waves of personal popularity.

Seems like all he needed was to get out from under Finlay's shadow as Little Bastard

Met Stone Cold Steve Austin when he was a high school football player at Edna High School named Steve Williams.

Ran into the von Erichs at a 7-11 after a show in Victoria, Texas one night.

Some of the podcasts by these guys now give some pretty interesting stories.

I'm sure you don't get the very best ones though (obviously)

I haven't followed wrestling since I was a kid, and I never met any of the big names other than the Steiner brothers(Rick is on my home county's board of education, and Scott would occasionally come into the Publix I worked at in high school), but I met some low level guys that were in the WWE/TNA at some point at small shows at the Canton, GA armory.

Glacier
Low Ki
Bart Gunn
Spike Dudley

I met DDP, Raven and Kanyon on Beale Street after a show in Memphis. I can't remember why, but my friends and I had split up and I was heading to meet them at whatever bar we were supposed to meet at. Those three walked out of a bar right in front of my as I was walking. I walked with them for a block or so and chatted about the show that night. They were pretty cool. DDP had to stop a few times and entertain some fans shouting from the other side of the street about his diamond cutter thing he did. I asked him if it ever got old. He said he usually didn't mind when it was for a kid asking him. But wondered about the guys in their 40s who got just as excited about him doing it for them.

One of my buddies worked with Kanyon at UPS after he quit wrestling, and said he was a pretty cool guy...sad what happened to him with his depression and stuff.
