LOL @ tDoobster having just as many rings as Charles Barkley

:laugh3:

You have as many rings as many former NBA greats...

Elgin Baylor, Nate Thurmond, Ewing, Stockton & Malone...Greg Oden:whistle:.

The SNL special last night beat the AS Game in TV ratings.

I mostly watched that SNL special. I swear though whenever I switched over to the game someone was chucking up a 3.

I watched them both.

That's what DVR's are for:lol:

Top 3 SNL moments last night?

1. Weekend Update with Jane, Amy and Tina.

2. Melissa McCartney doing the Farley " I live in a van by the river " skit.

3. Dick in a box ...Timberlake and Fallon.

I don't have a DVR anymore.:bawling: Both skits you mentioned were very funny. I also liked that Jeopardy skit, the Connery & Reynolds characters were hilarious. I wish they would have spent a little more time w/ the Presidents from over the years though. Always gotta great laugh outta those skits.

6-0 in the Finals says differently :noidea:

But, I was really referring to the Series where the Suns lost to the Bulls.

You do realize that the NBA playoffs is longer than just the NBA finals. He was not undefeated in round 1, round 2, or the ECF.

But specifically Suns v Bulls. No that Laker team was the 8th seed in the East and 38-44. Barkley wasn't the difference in 38-44 and ring over Jordan for that Laker team... Now put Barkley on the Knicks...

No...the Lakers were not that great of a team at that year as I see another poster has already pointed out...he may have help get them to the conference finals, but imo Barkley's best chance to get a ring was his rookie year with Doc, and Moses...but they stalled out vs the Celtics. Really disappointing series for the 6ers because they actually matched up well with BOS that year if memory serves.

Hmmmm, very true.

It worked for Glenn Rice and Mitch Richmond.

I have always been a Barkley fan, even though he was an uber-idiot, and would have loved to see him get a ring.

He clearly went to the Rockets a year to late.

Don't get me wrong, love me some Sir Charles. In fact, he was my favorite player at the time. I would have LOVED to see him join the Lakers. But I have to be honest and that Lakers team wasn't as good as the Suns even if Barkley had come to the Lakers instead.

Now, if the question is "Would Barkley eventually have gotten a ring if he joined the Lakers?", then I think the answer is most likely yes, he would have.

The answer is no. Those mid 90s Lakers were a lost cause. By the time Kobe/Shaq came along and got good enough to compete Barkley was long gone.

It was poor wording on my part.

I meant, the Bulls were unbeatable in that particular series.

Would have been interesting if he was on the Knicks.

I kinda look at that scenario in the same light as TF12's post about him coming to the Lakers 3 years later.

Who would those Teams have parted with to get Barkley?

For the Lakers, would it have been Vlade?

If so.....:gaah:...what would that have meant for Kobe?

Would have altered that Teams History...probably for the worst.

The Knicks?

Hmm....anyone but Ewing?

But, would Charles Smith or Oakley be enough?

It's nice to wonder and debate.

Off topic...

What do you think about Trey Burke?

I find it odd that the Jazz have given up on him already and decided that Exum is the starting pg.

Don't get me wrong, Dante is gonna be a stud.

But, he looks to be like 2 Seasons away....

Do you consider Trey a longtime Starter?

Looks like he can be had...should the Lakers take a swing?
