Anybody out there watching the USA - Germany game? It's 1-0 Germany about halfway throught the third period. The crowd at this game is huge, I wonder if it's a record.

For those in the US, I'm watching this on Universal Sports and the Ducks play by play man John Ahlers is working with the Kings color analyst Jim Fox. A weird pairing.

Ryan Carter has just tied the game up at 1-1.

edit: the goal has now been awarded to Christian Hanson

If they sold it out it is. I read in the paper they specifically used a stadium that would have like 500 more seats than the largest crowd at a hockey game previously.

They changed the scoring back to Ryan Carter now, for those interested.

From what I've seen, the Okposo, Foligno, Dubinsky line has dominated this third period except for on the scoreboard.

Germany scores, but it will go to video review.

At least Toronto doesn't get this call...

Looks like a goal of the shins of the Germany player.

Damn. That's embarrassing.

a) Germany always plays it tight.
b) 77,000 is a hek of a home-crowd push
c) I never worry too much about this tourney, the best CDN / US talent us usually still busy over here. No offense to the IIHF, but this tourney is one notch above the Spengler Cup in terms of North American talent. (no offense to Hnat Dominichelli)

I heard they are handing out the Denslow cup this year to the winner, any truth to that?
